Non dates given yet. Allocated tickets will probably be in a region of 6000.

Are you a ST holder or a member ?

^^ This, but I couldn't get one for a 9,000 allocation for Arsenal the other year, so all things being equal 6,000 at West Ham could be difficult. Would like to go though.

I got one for the arsenal game summer, was a scream mate. But yeah, 6000 could be a struggle, there was word of 3,000 due to the policing aswell. Still no details on the site

Nick going to West Ham these days is a piece of pi iss compared to the Seventies when no London mob used to go there and then in the early Eighties when we did used to parade over there. In those days it was a proper scary place to go.

Having said that it's gna be proper carnage this year with 6,000 Chelsea in there and no OB inside the ground.

I can confirm I never once wore any colours to Upton Park in those days!

But even there I never felt as vulnerable as that day at The CBL in September 76

Brum, over there even wearing no colours was no guarantee against it coming on top. There's a whole little army of amateur David Attenborough's who do nothing except study other people's body language and movements to sniff out opposition fans. It was a far more sophisticated auditing process than we got at Millwall, where unless you were calling it on like we did in '76 and '95 you got left alone.

One Spurs mate of mine, (ironically at a Chelsea match) got properly ironed out because he didn't know who West Ham's number 7 was. Another Arsenal mate of mine had an attempted suss from a so-called fellow "Arsenal" fan who warned him to watch out as a load of West Ham were round the corner. Fortunately for him he was clued up enough to pretend to be an iron anyway.

As for me I went over there many times during those dark days and when on my own I never got sussed out, but then I am from the street.

There is an update though, we have put in for the full allocation which is 10% therefore 5,700 however discussions are on going as to what we will actually get, seems some want it reduced.

I had lot's of family in the East End back in the day, I used to go to West Ham home games with friends and it was fun enough even though I was Chelsea. I was too young for them to care, I used to watch the likes of Best, Brooking, Bonds, Lampard senior etc.

As I got older I used to go visit my nan after Chelsea games, always taking off my scarf before mile end. Then one day, it was a bank hoiday and West Ham station was shut, I had to get off at Plaistow and walk back to West Ham. No biggy, I had done it many times before only this time I had forgotten to tke off my Chelsea scarf, by now I was 16/17 years old and fair game, I didn't get very far. Never made that mistake again.

I bumped into Cass Pennant a few years ago and he was nice as pie, we had a laugh about the good old days. He was probably in the bunch that ambushed us at Liverpool street on the Tube on the way back from Norwich away.

Funnily enough one of the best away games I went to was West Ham, the game was cancelled on route due to a frozen pitch so we turned around at Mile End and someone suggested we went to Arsenal as they had undersoil heating, they were playing Tottenham so we thought why not, there was Chelsea all over the ground in the Arsenal anfd Tottenham end. It kicked off in the Tottenham end as well.

Sorry, got a bit carried away, I am missing my football.

You could've split your post in to two. i.e. post the link first and then carry on with the rest of your post.
