Liverpool vs Man City

the old guard vs the nouveau riche
Nice to see both managers going with pretty strong teams - I really really wouldn't put Blind anywhere near the centre of my defence - can see PEA destroying him, Dragovic is meant to be decent enough though. I think City's midfield could do well enough to hold the centre ground, not sure on Christensen at DM and with Koke and Greasemonkey better forwards than backwards Liverpool will give ground - that said I think their front 5 will pose an awful amount of questions, City with Icardi will always have a chance of goals so we'll see what the randomizer wants to do.
Full time - Liverpool 3-1 City
PEA (Koke) Griezmann (Williams) PEA (Griezmann)
Icardi (Gotze)

MOTM - PEA - led the line well and his pace caused City all kinds of bother

Man Utd vs 'Ull

First things first why the feck is Milner at LB? I think that itself will make Volland's job a fair bit easier as he'll just burn him with relative ease. Coleman at RB is a good player but will leave the side so imbalanced and you then state you want them both bombing forward - asking for trouble in my humble opinion. I do like Lubo's front 3 though and they could have a bit of fun - rather play Candreva at the expense of one of them though as he atleast would add defensive cover.
I like Welshy's work with Hull - Tah and Sule would be a good combo and could deal with (to a degree) with Cav's physical presence - Brandt is a great prospect and with Coleman bombing on he'd be a potent threat on the counter, Vietto up against Evans would be interesting, I think the pace and movement of the little Argentine could swing the head to head in his favour.
Close game not much in it

Full time - Utd 0-1 Hull
Vietto (Brandt)

MOTM - Cavani - worked tirelessly for the side and unlucky to be on the losing team

Arsenal 1-2 Tottenham (Fratton Park)
Ronaldo(Di Maria); Lacazette(Fekir), Fekir(Lacazette)
MOTM: Van Dijk

Arsenal went out to outscore their opposition and it backfired massively, with Tottenham defending excellently throughout in a really compact block that kept Arsenal passing sideways. On the break Lacazette and Fekir saw a lot of joy, they were wasteful really, this game could have been a rout.

Portsmouth 1-0 Chelsea (Emirates)
Lewandowski(Costa)
MOTM: Douglas Costa.

Injuries to Chelsea in midfield caused them troubles today as they failed to have their usual grip on the game, Portsmouth certainly having the upper hand in possession. Portsmouth's trouble was that Chelsea proved stubborn defensively and the Portsmouth midfield failed to provide the killer passes, although their wingers more than made up for that. Chelsea struggled to break out as Matuidi and Gundogan dominated Lemina and Gomes, however Neymar was always a good outlet when Alves was caught up field, Lewandowski at his peak was the difference in this game.
