Do they walk The Whole Nine Yards?
This is an outrage. I've even seen 8.5 paces out on numerous occasions.
Jonathon Moss often gets to 7 and then arbitrarily sends off two players for not being behind his badly drawn foam line.
I'm still surprised the foam hasn't had its own sponsorship deal yet - Gillette would do well.
I think the number of steps comes down to whether it's metric or imperial steps that are being used.
What infuriates me is that referees will - /as standard/ - draw out a straight line with their foam spray when it should be slightly curved in a circle around the spot of the foul.
If this continues, I will be creating a petition on Change.org.
As the stuff they use resembles shaving foam, a picture of Neil 'Razor' Ruddock on the side of the can might be appropriate.

Referees have feet, so it must be imperial.
