Nah, he was the summer scapegoat.

Other countries just choose the player with the most caps in the starting eleven as there nominated captain regardless of who he is.

England should just do the same and end this ridiculous circus which follows the captaincy.

England players are all money whoorees. They don't get paid to play for England so they don't give a dam. They are more worried about what clothes and cars they own. We should just play under 21's who are huingry. They couldn't do any worse than Englands shower of shiiitee

Thing is this is largely the U21's from a couple of years ago that we were all crying out for after the so called Golden Generation.

For me we got our tactics wrong last night. Southgate said prematch that we'd set up to counter the fact they were playing with a diamond in midfield. They ended up setting up with more of a 4-3-3, and pressed us on the ball.
