I'd vote for voting in the voting article
However this is the place for discussion.
I'd vote for Clinton. Lesser of two evils would be my simple decision maker.
I've said many times that people want someone that isn't a career politician. Trump just isn't the right person. I honestly think if Michael Bloomberg had stood as an independent he'd be winning the seat
Trump is a career @rsehole.
Why is trump lesser of the two evils?
despite trumps faults i think he might actually have something
we have world gone PC mad, an era we can't say how it is and i think Trump can bring about some much needed change.
if france can ban hijabs why can't trump talk about building a wall??
Law and order, respect and equality for all is needed i don't see how clinton can do it imho
Why is trump lesser of the two evils?

Clinton like it or not understands how the political game works as far as the Presidency goes. Her husband was one of the best Presidents there has been
Trump is too reactionary, prone to opening his mouth and will end up too caught up in his own importance far worse than he is now.
There is the alternative that he will shut up and the Presidency is just a tool for the Republicans and right wing racists to completely divide the country and indeed the rest of the world
" respect and equality for all"
Hardly Trump's forte.

Apparently we're currently living in the safest time in human history.
It's all to do with perception. At all times in history human beings have always thought the end was nigh.
It's probably that we're getting all kinds of harrowing scheidt on our tvs, newspapers, computer screens every single day. We can't escape it.
To Murnetti X (U3627)
fair points, i just think he'll wise up in office, he'll have the right people behind him, the nasty period is now during the election i think if he wins he'll adapt to the role.
we need to to have better relations with Russia, that's my concern. people forget they are a European country. Clinton will carry on the current state of affairs imo and i feel Trump offers a fresh start to relations given his views on TV
I'm surprised the Republicans (or anyone else for that matter) haven't started a new political party.
I know the Tea Party had a bash at being Americas answer to UKIP but it's crazy only having two main political parties.. It's not much better than just one totalitarian party/government.
I know we have our two main parties but in 150 odd years of politics we've had other large parties, from the Whigs to Liberals to UKIP to LibDems to SNP which have all been in government (With the exception of UKIP) at some time or another.
I find it quite funny that both Britain and the US, and to some extent France, are all having a go at Russia for their bombing runs in Syria.
We're quite right to highlight war crimes but we're hardly innocent of it ourselves. The U.K. has interfered with more countries than anyone on earth

How long have both current parties dominated US politics though?

we are backing Russia and the chinese into corners we are not going to come back from and we've seen that with the direction of North Korea, the middle east and Ukraine.
I'm not flying the flag for Russia either but picture the scenario
imagine a world without the former USSR then followed by Nato. Would europe have closer ties with Russia now? instead of acting as man in the middle now we are so far alligned with america we are in greater danger.

I don't think we're too big on war crimes though as a practice.
Don't get me wrong I'm certain some of our lads have done some dodgy stuff and I've no doubt some water boarding has gone on but I don't think we bomb aid convoys.

I'm sure each of those civilian deaths was warranted.
Not to mention the billions in arms we keep selling Saudi Arabia in their attempt to wipe half the Yemeni population off the face of the earth

Dance I like the way you move....pretty baby 💃
Fwckimg right we should blame Russia.
The US acts as the worlds policeman and their foreign policy and Homeland ethics are based on protecting Americas own borders on foreign shores.
Their alternative is to put up defense blockades around their own country and let the rest of the worlds maniacs tear themselves to pieces. The U.K. wouldn't fare too well in that scenario.
why are some of the things that i highlighted not being talked about and instead being dominated by scandal on both sides
----------------------
Becuase Trump is a walking racist, xenophobe, sexist , bigoted hateful joke of a candidate and his actions generate these ridiculous stories.
Add to that his lack of policies he can speak about and he only can resort to trying to scandalise the Clinton to make her look worse than he is.
Its a dirty campaign, but the electorate and even the GOP itself are starting to tire of it.

Ginger, if that's your opinion fair enough.
But to quote Obama " America is thee most powerful country in the world period"
I think in my opinion this is doing more harm than good.
also, the rise of China militarily and economy wise has the US displaying squeaky bum tunes.
I see no deterrence here to world peace. i also see no acceptance by politicians to realise that cultures are vast and we can't all get along.
people are being forced into a belief system by forceful politics and policies that have resulted in some of the major issues of today.
The US is unpopular all round the world for all manner of reasons. Mainly because it has been at war pretty much constantly since it's inception while pushing it's interests and consumerism aggressively in 'peace' time. Now countries are pushing back, Russia after years of relative weakness following the collapse of USSR and China, with it massive increase in power.
The US's current policy of regime change throughout the middle east has seen millions die while making billions for their arms companies, their owners and their leaders.
They're foreign policy is also hugely hypocritical as they defend the indefensible in Palestine while being loudly outspoken against human rights abuses elsewhere in the world. All while forgetting Guantanamo and executions in their penal system.
Over the years, the nation and it's companies have bankrolled or armed everyone from Hitler to Hussein to ISIS. Constantly backing one, building them up and then going to war against them. Then they build themselves up to be the 'World Police'. Is that not what the UN are for?
I honestly don't think it matters who the figurehead in charge of the US is. There will be more wars instigated, more civil liberties removed from US citizens and continued distrust of America globally. Having Trump in charge would just make it more unpredictable as to when, not if, this happens,
