Boxing match even ( not game)

Huge basketball fan, basically carrying that board at the mo. Supported SAS for about 13 years now, and probably watch 20+ games a season. Play a lot as well.

Used to like NFL more in the past, but then I found it got a bit boring due to all the smack-talk getting banned.

Dont mind MLB, went to a no-hitter once at that was incredible.

Can't follow the puck in Hockey.

Often watch NBA during the playoffs. Follow San Antonio Spurs. I've tried getting into the NFL, but it's just not my thing. I can't even see the ball in ice hockey games. Baseball is the shiiitest sport on the planet.

Not a fan of any American sports. Went to one of the American football games at Wembley and while I got to know the rules a bit better it still didn't do anything for me. I came out of it thinking how hard the cheerleaders worked in comparison to the athletes.

Massive NFL. Consider it my #1 sport.

A lot of people don't appreciate it because they think it's "too slow," but that's typically because they don't understand the rules of the game.

In fact, it's far more exciting than the standard premier league game. Last gasp winners akin to the 99 final are commonplace every other game.

What I like most about it is the passion the players show. They might be pampered millionaires, but unlike our premier league 'stars' they leave everything on the pitch every game. Fights. Taunting. Outrageous celebrations. Oh and if one of them goes off on a stretcher they're back on the field in the next quarter more often than not.

How boring is Baseball?!

I used to watch NFL whenever I could but much less now until the play offs and Superbowl... "support" the England Patriots.

If you get a last gasp winner every other game isn't that monotonous? Also, stretchered off in one quarter, back the next??? Maybe they didn't need carrying off in the first place? Just saying.

No, because the game is a battle of attrition between two teams, so the drive down the field builds the anticipation.

Also, stretchered off in one quarter, back the next???

Or maybe they aren't wimps like premier league footballers. Thomas Davis played in the superbowl with a broken arm last season. If you understand the function of a linebacker you'll appreciate how ridiculous that is.

Baseball has far more going on and is far deeper strategically than many of you realize. Problem is unless youve played for years as a youth or have had someone explain each position/situation you'll likely find it boring as all fook.

Also hitting a small baseball moving at nearly 100 mph sometimes while curving through the air with a not very wide bat is probably one of the most difficult skills in sports.

That's said, I find it boring to watch. Playing on the other hand....is sometimes boring too

Although can be fun

Or perhaps they do, but just aren't into it. Perhaps they find it too stop-start and too scripted to the playbook and team ethos and devoid of some Jordanesque or Maradonnaesque inspiration and magic. Bit presumptuous to make sweeping comments like that.

No time for 3 of those American sports.

Basketball. Girls game over here, we call it netball.
Baseball. Girls game over here, we call it rounders.
American Football. Game for pansies. If you're going to use a rugby ball then play rugby properly and get rid of all that padding.

Ice Hockey. I like watching Ice Hockey. Couldn't play it for toffees. I can barely stand on ice skates let alone race around a rink with a stick. If I bump into anyone I fall over.

No, more often than not they have no understanding of the rules and don't therefore realise why the stops are happening. If you don't appreciate why the stops are happening then you can't appreciate the game - same with any sport.

99% of non-football fans that I speak to don't even realise that there's a 40 second countdown from the end of a play until the snap of the ball for the next play.

As for this: devoid of some Jordanesque or Maradonnaesque inspiration and magic

Again, said without an understanding of the sport.
