It is a sad state of affair when you realise that as soon as Welbeck is fit again, he will walk back straight to the team (deseredly so).
Lingard was easily the best of the front 4
Tested the keeper, put Sturridge through only for him to fluff it, created space for Alli/Studge only for them to lose possession, decent link up play.
6 for Townsend is too kind. Otherwise about right.
Poor management though.
Dinosaur tactics and poor subs. The FA don't want to take a modern approach.
Dier - 3 Almost won worst pass of the night
Hendo 2 - Worst pass of the night
---------------------------------------
Alli played the nicest pass through to Studge to fluff up
The least effective players in relation to their jobs in the team were Walcott, Horrendo, Sturridge, Dier and Lingard. Alli was marginally better than these.
The full backs did ok, but Cahill and Stones gave away too many chances against a poor team, along with Horrendo failing to mark properly at set pieces. Dier sheilded the back four well but was sloppy in possession and almost gave away a goal.
Hart was MOTM (but its about time he proved himself with England).
Pick of the subs was Townsend, who did more in 5 minutes than Walcott did in 1 hour. Rooney and Rashford were brought on too late to judge.

I despise international football......All that happens is that our players get injured or knackered and Arsenal fans post ripe on here saying it was Spurs fault wee lost to Iceland
From the 15 mins I saw Stones was diabolical.
