It would have been 500 if Cinci hadn't fallen down a well.
personally I think it's a bloody shame if cincy is finished he's a good poster and normally interesting.
he's a wolves supporter and there's getting fewer and fewer of us on here
More Live and Let Live between posters intead of the bitterness would improve the site
except for half wit of course he's just a prat
if i diet i'll be slim - you'll always be a prat
Good to read about Ebanks Landell scoring 2 and being man of the match for Sheffield Utd on Saturday. With Hause finally looking the part for us on Saturday too then maybe sticking with this pair while they gained experience will pay off in the seasons ahead
I've always thought that ebanks-landell could be good for us.
the worry is iorfa, he looks worse now than his debut season
Agree. I can't explain why Iorfa has been so disappointing in the last 12 months or so. I'm sure there is a really good footballer in there. He doesn't seem to be able to play with the confidence and flair that he showed in his early day. I would have thought Walter was the man to bring that back, perhaps we have to wait a while. It always far easier for a defender to play with flair in a successful team, with luck that will come.
I don't think Iorfa has been as bad as made out here and he was unlucky to concede the penalty on Saturday just through a tangle of legs rather than a deliberate foul. Grealish has been Villa's best player this season on their left hand side, but against Iorfa he hardly created any danger at all. Is there nothing positive from that? Always been the case with Wolves fans that if we play poorly its because we were cr&p and if we are the better team its because the opposition were cr&p. How about giving our players and team some credit.
I think there's reason to be optimistic about the futures of Iorfa, Ebanks Landel and Hause, and I suspect Iorfa will go on to be the best of the three. Prefer him as a full back than centre back personally
Not suggesting he was cr&p DJ, just that he seems to have lost some of his flair. I used to love watching his long legs charging down the wing or into the box. We're lucky if we see that once per game now.
Is it a sign of maturing? Hope not.
Agree with that wulfrun, although I suspect that's more about what he is being asked to do than him losing the ability to do it. I would like to see him given more licence to get forward
He'll be a good pro, but will always be susceptible to getting his legs tangled with something !
The main reason Iorfa gave away the penalty was that he was badly positioned. Nothing at all to do with his long-legs.
I like Iorfa and thought that he would go on to great things when he first came into the team but think that his development has stalled.
Hope that he can get back to the form he first showed a couple of years ago.
I don't think Iorfa was crap. He just made a few mistakes in a defence that was otherwise faultless. He will therefore be singled out for criticism when compared to his team mates and rightly so.
Good to see EEL doing well at Sheffield, he seems very much in the Batth mould to me, distribution not quite as good, but better in front of goal.
Iorfa doesn't seem to have benefitted from switching positions, prefer him at CB now personally. Looks ungainly going forward these days.
Of the three I think Hause has the biggest potential, good on the ball, good tackler/blocker, needs to improve his positional play.
So where does this leave Stearman?
Stearman is a squad member, as they all are. He will play again when we have injuries or loss of form. Its the way it should be.
I imagine Stearman will go back to Fulham at the end of the season though and EEL will take his place in the squad for next season. Unless we get promoted of course (unlikely at present, although Saturday's performance gives a little hope), then we will need to bring someone with experience in I would have thought.
I think Hause has all the attributes to make a good centre back but I thought Saturday was the first time he has played well for Wolves this season. Until then he has seemed surprisingly short on confidence for a guy getting picked for England. But hopefully as he gains experience he will gain confidence.
At least we have a bit of a defensive squad now. Last season there were times when we only had 4 defenders fit
big plus with eel is his goalscoring, some with us now sheffu.
he can certainly hit a ball, one i remember went in like a bullet
Wolves, with 10 men, smoshing Newcastle, as usual. Peno similar to the AV one!.

Bring EEL back in January and wave goodbye to Stearman.
The longer we stay in the chumpo the more Fosun and little Jeff will lose interest in Wolves !
They are NOT fans of the club, they are here to make dosh !
We need promotion this year, do you hear me ?

Why bring him back if he isn't going to be a regular starter here? He is playing every week at Sheff Utd, if he is improving it is better for his development to stay there and be re-assessed in the summer. Stearman is an adequate defender for this level and will be able to fill in when we have injuries or loss of form, possibly even be first choice for a period in the season.
Bringing a young player back and stalling his development is the wrong decision, if it is just because you don't like the player who is currently sitting on the bench.
