The trouble is what is pace going to do when we are up against a 10man wall? Pace is more suited for open games when we can hit on the counter. What we do need is someone who can take a man on and go past people - not necessarily someone with pace - to take a opposition player out of the picture and find more room. This is why Dembele is so important, he is not the fastest but in an instant he can go past 2 players closing in on him an create room to move forward.
With Dembele injured Eriksen and Lamela were the correct choice, they just need to pull their creative fingers out and pick the right pass.
What I will say though is it would be nice to introduce a bit of pace at some point in the second half when the opposition are tiring.

This. Pace without skill or a brain means nothing.
We had enough opportunities to win the game.
Unfortunately we didnt take any off them.

Yesterday was nothing to do with pace, it was the finishing that cost us. It's been like it for a while now we need 10 chances to score one goal.

you might say, "no Harry Kane" cost us.
But while one problem was not scoring from opportunities, another was letting one in.
Did that happen after Toby's injury?
Yes West Brom scored fairly soon after Alderweireld went off.
Should have started with Son on left, lamela right and left out sissoko. A big gamble to leave out our top goalscorer especially with Kane out. Rather we play our best 11 in prem, try to get a lead and make changes 2nd half to rest players.
don't think the line up was an issue. we should have won the game based on chances created…

If issue was finishing chances, Son obviously a better bet for goals than sissoko.
Finishing was the main problem.
We were away from home, against a side that has no intention of leaving gaps, packed with defensive players, and coached by one of the best in spoiling tactics.
Despute that we had numerous chances to score which we never took.
One of those days, not a terrible point there, although the very least we deserved
