I know, as soon as she walked out with the sussies you knew what was coming

This series it seems like they are going more for a witty social commentary rather than all out gags but I'm still loving it

Sanders was far too socialist for some of the Republicans that dislike Trump to switch.

Clinton was the best of the two as far as winning voters from the otherside went.

Not necessarily the best candidate but the best to win votes
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I agree with Murnetti, Sanders would have found it more difficult to win than Hilary which is a sad indictment as many Americans think of a socialist as someone who take their big screen TV and give it to a Mexican

Sanders scored better in polling when up against Trump than Hilary.

I was for spoiling my vote (if I had one) previously, but the speech by Michelle Obama last week would have convinced me to grudgingly vote for Clinton.

I'd rather Trump win. If Hillary wins then it'll just continue the same old crapshow that American politics has become. Candidates will continue to get worse (remember she lost to Obama ffs) until candidates like Trump (or worse) are the norm. Better to have a shock now than to continue the inevitable spiral. Maybe, just maybe then Americans will come to the realisation that their system is utterly broken and needs fixing.

But that's somewhat wishful thinking. After all, the recent UK election was one of the worst in history (and now we have a PM that no-one voted for) yet people are still too stupid to see the flaws.

I'd be interested to hear from the 5 that have voted Trump, just why?

I genuinely don't see any reason to vote for Trump and I haven't seen any explanation of it beyond hatred of Clinton.

I don't particularly like Clinton. She's a difficult character to warm to IMO and has dropped a couple of massive clangers. I do think fundamentally she's a public servant though, she wants to work for the benefit of the country.

Trump on the other hand is an egomaniac who appears dangerously ignorant in many of his views. I've lost count of the number of inappropriate, ludicrous, offensive and downright stupid things he's said in this election campaign. His own party are disowning him and yet he's still relatively close in the polls! I have absolutely no idea how.

It's a sad indictment of modern politics where the range of Trump idiocies can be glossed over with a pithy tweet.

So basically whilst I'm not enthused by the idea of Clinton for President, I would never even contemplate voting for the colossal imbecile that is Trump.

first of all we need to get rid of expenses for politicians, if your job is in London move to London, if your constituency is in Orkney then just use Skype, if they can pass building inspection on new malls on Skype the Next ia m sure important decisions can be made

Solo.

I think there's a whiff of misogyny in the air.

She is swkeeky kleen compared to her hubby.

He didn't get a fraction of the abuse.

Even tho he took blowies in the Oval Office.

Lotta males wish they were Trump/Bill.

The women of the 9 key marginal states will defeat Trump.

Curly the thought of being governed by a black guy for 8 years, then a

woman for 4 at least!

It'll make rednecks' blood run cold.

Hadn't dawned on me your point about May and the Sturgeon.

I don't doubt it Quinn.

But that's a whole lotta misogyny to get Trump anywhere near 40% in the polls!

I remember reading when Obama defeated Clinton for the Democratic nomination that it was seen as a test; what is more unpalatable to the American public, a woman President or a black one.

Over-simplistic obviously and does Obama a disservice given how charismatic he can be. However, this time around you could make a case for it being a test of what is more unpalatable, a women for President or middle-aged white male cretin.

Trump's statement that he might not accept the result if he loses

without any proof of vote rigging could be construed as insurrection.

He has already said stuff that some in the meeja think is a coded

message that someone should take out Clinton if she wins.

I'm no admirer of USA values but even I'm taken aback that he is still in

the running.

I just think the fact Trump is still in with a shout shows how atrocious Clinton is. Remember, she lost to Obama - a black guy with no experience. This time they had to put her up against an ageing socialist and it was still down to the wire.

If Bush Jr. was in this race he'd win by a landslide.

Totally agree. Many of his comments are just absurd but some of them are politically dangerous. Challenging democracy falls into that category.

Be interested to know how close the Republican Party have come to withdrawing support and putting up another candidate. They must have seriously considered it.

I think it shows that there are about a third of the population that will always vote Republican and a third Democrat irrespective of the candidate.

The election is just about persuading the ones who would consider either party.

In that respect I'm not sure it's so much different from Labour/Tory in the UK.

Clinton is a jaded career politician with skidmarks on her knickers.

Trump is a moronic racist mysogynistic nutter who thinks he's in a movie.

Wouldn't vote for any of them. A know he is a bit of a a hole but if backed into a corner a would vote him. She's a tyrant by the way. Don't let the fact that she's democrat fool you. Along with the west, they are hell bent on war with Russia. Trump has said he would rather work with them than bomb them.
