Team for Tuesday
Vorm
Trippier CCV Wimmer Davies
Carrol Winks
N'Koudou Edwards Sissoko( if not banned)
Jansson
give it to the Mickey mousers, they seem to need it
Sandy, overall agree
We are showing a strong backbone which was apparent in the midweek game and also yesterday.
Vertonghen is leading the defense so well and at times, he's everywhere with perfectly timed and needed tackles.
We look extremely solid and resilient in midfield and defense.
However, when it comes to scoring, we seemed to overlook this in training maybe?
Alli, Lamela, Dembele and even Janssen don't seem to have that knack to put away a chance, which I have to say Chadli had and Son shows sometimes.
We need to sort that out soon, but so confident about our ability not to be breached easily at the back
Unlike the gift that keeps giving which Liverpool's back four and keeper
Anyway League Cup aside this week at Liverpool, where I expect a complete reserve side
============
I believe the opposite - other than Vorm and Trippier, I expect Alli to be involved - that's probably why he was taken off yesterday.
Mopo as you know does not like playing a game without winning - because that breeds a winning mentality.
I expect the same from Klopp.
Though Liverpool have the "luxury" of days rest, since they have no European commitments, other than wives on European spa visits
If we have designs on being in a title race then Leicester is a must win. I don't expect us to be in a title race with the same points achieved as last season and we're already 2 points down, so need to not only make up ground, but get ahead of last season's tally.
No good going unbeaten if you're going to get too many draws.

What are you on about Spurtle???
After 9 games last season we only had 14 points, 5 less than we have at the same point this season
No team has pulled away yet, so not too damaging.
For a team looking to win the title, I would say a draw away at Bournmeouth is not a bad result.
A draw away at WBA is not a bad result.
But when they are back to back draws agst that sort of opposition, then that is not so great.
The disappointing thing for Spurs is that after their terrific thrashing of City they have failed to take forward momentum in those last two games.
Right now your team looks short of goals and need an in form Kane back quickly

He probably referring to the points gained last season against the teams we've played so far, an argument I'm not a fan of, I prefer to see how many points we have and more importantly, how far off the top we are, and this season it's only 1 point while last season it was 7, so much better in my view
Decent article Sandy. We don't want to be drawing too many games but if we replicate this form for the rest of the season then we should be shoe-ins for at least top four.

Yes as Sir says, I'm talking about where we're at after the same fixtures, which while not being a perfect representation by any means, is a more accurate reflection than points gained after the same number of games, despite playing completely different fixtures. I mean one season you could start off playing none of the top 8 sides after the first 5 games, and another all 5 could be top 8, for example. Would rather look at it using my version.

You also forget we have had injuries to Lloris and to Dembele as well.
Agree about the League Cup, I`m really not bothered about it, we should put out a second string.
Even if we put out a strong team, there is a good chance we would get facked over by the referee at Klanfield anyway, especially if Gifted Penalty plays, so we may as well play the reserves and if we go out, so be it, we could do without the extra games with the schedule we have coming up.
It's still your best chance of a trophy.

Yep, clubs only take it seriously when they feel like it and it is a hindrance to clubs competing in Europe.
Clubs like Pool and Chelsea will take it seriously this year, as they will see it as a good opportunity to win a trophy and qualify for Europe.

Sorry, but comparisons like that are meaningless. The only comparison worth looking at is the points accrued after the same number of games played!
It was not a good game - English hoof ball.
felt sorry for Son - isolated with nuthin to do.
We missed Toby - that for sure.
