Are we the underdogs for this one
Never mind, we can and will mash them

I think it will be close. Blues were absolutely dire on Friday against Burton- and I mean really, really bad. We're very poor in defence, but as long as Rowett makes the right team selection (which he often doesn't) we're capable of goals.
I haven't seen Villa since Steve Bruce took over, but from talking to a couple of Villa fans, I get the impression that although there's been an improvement, It hasn't yet resulted in free-flowing football.
Anyway, I'll be watching it in the Jewellery Quarter, with a couple of Blues and Villa mates, so I'll be gracious in victory.
Agent Bruce will know what to do!
By the way folks, don't forget that the clocks are going back on Saturday night and for most villa fans I expect they will go back to 1982 again!
Forgotten the clocks! Will the players wake up in time?

Not a bad game we got battered second half but held on.
Thought midfield we closed down well, defended well but looked poor upfront.
Keeps unbeaten run going just..................
14 arrests yesterday but it's not in the news
Was never going to be a classic. We're getting stronger, but we still need to work out how to defend well AND attack with force. But reckon Bruce is getting there.
Early days still, but I'm still hopeful for top 6 by the end of the year; had been thinking just top half would be the best we could do. If Bruce can get us there, then, maybe with one or two more signings, we can seriously start thinking about promotion.
Wonder if blueinbarca knows the result yet
Was very disappointed with the performance yesterday if I'm honest. First half we were ok and probably edged it, but second half we were dire and very lucky to take a point. Yes, it was a derby but man for man we are much better than Blues simple as and even if we only draw I would expect us to be creating the better chances. We simply must keep faith with Bruce as too much change but his style of football looks really poor. I really don't care if it gets us wins and ultimately promotion, but can't see this style lasting in the PL unless we want to be like West Brom (which I really don't).
Happy to play counter attack but the style we were playing yesterday was just long ball and it kept coming back to us each time inviting more pressure on the defence. When we actually played ball into the channels and quick short passes we had our best moves of the game, so why did we continuously lump it long all the time to no effect.
We are crying out for a Kante type of midfielder, someone who can carry the ball forward. Westwood is poor and slow, Jedinak and Gardner immobile, which leaves only Tshibola but doesn't seem to get a look in and not sure he is at the top level to produce week in week out. We must buy someone good in Jan.

If it's been West Ham then it would have all over the place. Press loves West Ham.
"Wonder if blueinbarca knows the result yet?"
Yes,as stated before the result was 1982!

Either this is a disgusting incident of police brutality (if the fans were villa supporters) or I bet they were asking for it (if they were city supporters).
Ah, they were city supporters.
Get well soon, Rod.
He went down easier than Kodjia!
Didn't think much of the match tbh- I know it was a local derby, but both teams could have tried to keep it on the floor a bit more. I said to a mate of mine (Viler) who was watching it on TV with me in the pub, that we could do with another screen on top of the one we were watching, so as to see the ball!
Two teams, one, or both, of whom might sneak into the play offs, but neither capable of setting this division alight at present.
Thought Blues edged it second half, but I was surprised how much the Villa midfield backed off and allowed Blues to have possession.
Overall though, a fair result and a decent point as far as I'm concerned.
