I would throw Kevin Keegan into the mix, shame injury blighted his career.

on ability without question.... but it does say rate them for England... the others achieved far more even if some of them maybe weren't as gifted
On pure ability alone... Greaves would be out on his own... but others scored more (and more consistently) at World Cups etc
If we consider Owen from 18-22 where would people put him? apparently similar to greaves no?

majority of his goals came after 22 for England... only scored 14 during those years
Are we talking just England performances then? "england Strikers" or "strikers for england"

As a striker Greaves is so far in front, absolutely no comparison
Greaves
Club games 528
Goals scored 366
Internationals 57
Goals scored 44
Charlton
Club games 647
Goals scored 208
Internationals 106
Goals scored 49
Nearly twice as many internationals and just five goals more, and club goals there is an absolute chasm between the two players.
I would put Greaves first though partly due to injury his World Cup record in 62 and 66 wasn't great. Charlton wasn't a forward, certainly not a 'fox in the box' type so the comparison is not a good one.

Heskey in his younger days was a genuinely good player. Its just LADBANTERBIBLE and BBC SPORF have made people think otherwise cos he is a bit clumsy.
Incredibly Heskey played 62 times for England, scoring just seven goals, a truly awful record.
Greaves better than Sir Bobby
Without a doubt, Bobby Charlton scored 49 goals in 106 games, Greaves scored 44 in 57.
Rooney has scored 53 in 118 matches.
Greaves is also the highest scorer in the top flight with 357 goals. Definitely the best striker England has ever had.
