George is on a one year deal so they cashed him in whenever they can. Although... I'm fairly certain a lot of teams can beat that shiot deal that the Thunder put together. For a one year rental that isn't going anywhere, both teams lost that trade.

My buddies and I have completely opposite viewpoints on Blake Griffin's resigning of the Clippers. They all think that the Rockets should've tried and gone for him, and clearly believe that he's worth the $175m contract. I, on the other hand, was vehemently opposed to signing an injury prone player who has been playing on average, 55 games a season, citing that player like Blake makes bad decisions to get himself hurt and has gone down 3 season straight is a major red flag. What do you guys think?

Blake isn't what you need, an athletic fast-break player who still hasn't developed his post-game to a level that warrants his kind of contract. He also relies too heavily on athleticism for rebounding, so when not 100% his rebound numbers diminish.

With Curry's new contract with the GSW their team looks to get stronger again as they have more room for wages (with Swaggy P looking to go there lol). I hate that team so much, worst thing to happen to the NBA in my lifetime.

Thank you Edinspur. Well said!

Swaggy P is more of a lateral move to me. They got Livingston and Iggy back, which I guess is is a positive. Though I do have reservations on Iggy, who I think is on a decline since 2015. Warriors returning essentially the same team next year. That's good since the catch up game isn't as far fetched as it once was.

ROCKETS FOR SALE. Anyone know a Sheik or a rich Chinaman? Let me know.

West:
1. Warriors
2. Rockets
3. Thunder
4. Spurs
5. Nuggets
6. Wolves
7/8: Jazz/Blazers/Clippers

Not sure on the last two spot. Jazz are going to be insanely good defensively, top 2 in defensive efficiency but offensively they are going to be a bit of a nightmare.

Clippers look good on paper but Blake will undoubtedly get injured at some point and you never know how he'll look athletically. And then you have Gallinari who is also injury prone.

Blazers are well, it basically depends on how good Nurkic is, and this is a contract year as well. Im a big fan of Lillard and think he's pretty underrated. I have him as a top 5 PG and better than John Wall.

East:
1. Cavaliers
2. Celtics
3. Raptors
4. Wizards
5-8: who cares

I think LeBron will go all out in the regular season to get MVP since he knows he won't get a title with how bad their offseason has been and the Warriors seemingly being unbeatable.

Top 10 players in the league:

1. LeBron
2. Curry
3. Kawhi
4. Durant
5. Westbrook
6. Paul
7. Butler
8. Harden
9. Davis
10. Green

Im lower on Harden than most, super high on Butler, and Durant is being overrated. Curry/Kawhi is close, I prefer Kawhi but Curry just has more impact cause of his gravity. Remember those times when Cavs were giving Durant open dunks cause they were running out to Curry at the 3pt line?

Draymond Green is a top 10 player to me.

Good ranking, but Currys D is what gives him question marks

posted on 21/7/17

He's a solid team defender. Kawhi is the better individual player but Curry is just more valuable in a 5 on 5 team game cause of how much he forces your defense to over commit to him leading to easier opportunities for his team mates.

posted on 21/7/17

Well if you can shoot 3s like 2 pointers then you will draw a lot of attention

posted on 21/7/17

Yeah i dont like him either. Hate his mouth guard chewing face.

Oh yeah I forgot about the Bucks and Sixers, they should be fairly interesting.

Though to be honest no one cares about the East. Its all about the West. Hopefully Rockets get Melo too without giving up anything much.

You must hate KD for being a coward?

posted on 21/7/17

Of course, it doesn't help that Westbrook is my 2nd favorite player after Butler.

He practically made the NBA pointless for the next couple of years. We have to seriously hope one of the Warriors big 3 Curry/Durant/Green gets a season ending injury in order for the league to get interesting and even then, they are still favorites.

posted on 21/7/17

Yeah rare I hope for a serious injury but that's what the warriors deserve for ruining the NBA

posted on 21/7/17

I can't believe a 73 win team added a top 5 player in the position they are weakest/most needed.

At least my guy Westbrook won MVP, which was nice.

posted on 21/7/17

I don't know what's the future for Spurs though, never been so one player reliant before. A superstar PG is a must in my opinion. Lowry/Lilliard/Wall make us title contenders again

posted on 21/7/17

Can't believe you guys got rid of your both best two bench defenders in Dedmon/Simmons and signed a 30 year old Rudy Gay who had a Achilles injury, which is usually a career killer.

Should have tried to get George Hill.

Now you guys are the 4th best team in the West.

My Top 10

Lebron
KD
Westbrook
Steph Curry
Harden
Kawhi
Paul
A. Davis
Boogie Cousins
Butler

Honorable mention goes to Draymond, Wall, Irving.

Considered Isaiah Thomas and Giannis but I need more proof.

Oh and @Edinspur, apparently Irving wants to go to San Antonio. That should be good news for y'all.

Whats up with all this Kyrie shiiiit? It appears he is beefing with LeBron? Him and Steph mocking him in that video recently.

posted on 31/7/17

Kyrie LeBron relationship is funny to watch. American sports are just like their reality TV

Kyrie to New Orleans. Wild guess and makes our division even tougher.

Irving to the Celtics with Isiah Thomas, Jae Crowder and the Bets first round pick going the other way. Interesting.
