Freedman is one of the names being touted for the Wigan vacancy (which also came about today). Karl Robinson is favourite there though.
Someone mentioned Rob Edwards the other day and how results have gone badly since he was appointed as one of the first team coaches.
Well, if he does well in the next few games, he may be on the short list.

Steve Bull on Walter Zenga:
"He might have got it right given time, but we’ll never know"

Press announcement imminent. Dougie Freedman expected to be unveiled.
The appointment of Freedman would make Morgans decision to replace MM with TC look like the work of a true footballing genius.I honestly cannot believe that is what is going to happen. It would certainly confirm that we may has well have run with KJ than replace him with WZ.

It would be an incredibly underwhelming appointment.
He did seem on to a good thing at one point at Palace, where he had them in the playoffs with both Zaha and Bolaisie, but then he inexplicably left to go to Bolton. He seems to be pretty ordinary other than that though.
Looking at his managerial record he has incredibly consistent stats with a win record of 33-34% at every club he has managed. Perfect manager to help us stabilise in mid-table.
I think the exciting appointment would be Silva, the popular appointment (although not with me) would be Allardyce, a worrying appointment would be Freedman, and the unsurprising appointment would be none of the above given the choice of someone with a cv like Zenga's
If Freedman is our next manager, off goes the radio.
I mean it.
Don't do anything rash Unc !
Let's face it, Mendez will make the decision, and it's not likely to be who we want, or anyone we've heard of for that matter
I've been scouring the sports pages since 5am and can't find anything of interest or not speculative !
Anybody speak Portuguese ?

Ah, it is all making sense.
We know from the players that the dressing room was toxic. Looks like they have grassed Zenga and Butti up to the hierarchy.
Silva way out the betting now.
With wolves ditching sarnie now I wonder if this is the end for Mendez!
Thought we already knew Butti had gone yesterday? Read that elsewhere several times.
Vitor Pereira nicely in the mix now I see, gonna pay for my next holiday.

Why and how would we ditch Mendez?
He is linked to this club with numerous players and whether we like his methods or angle he is still a big pull in the football world so will be handy to keep close-ish!!!

And the fact that Fosun own part of Mendez agency make it difficult to get rid of him !
Skybet has him at 4/6. Please not Freedman.
