It wasn't really a soft goal, because it was never a penalty. It's a refereeing howler is what it is.
Haven't seen the pen as I've only just got in from the game but you can't really legislate for pens!

It was a good run out for both clubs young guns and nothing more.
Both managers were looking to give players who are on the periphery and those who are struggling or coming back from injury some match time.
In that respect with no injury concerns, it was success all round
As Igor says there's not much you can do when the ref makes a howler like that.
What's encouraging for me is that we are now seeing these games out regularly when we get pegged back.
2-0 leads against Chelsea, West Brom and now Spurs that became 2-1. In these situations last year we regularly panicked and threw it away against Sunderland, Newcastle amongst others.
We seem to have much more of a plan on how to react in the situation now and have seen out all of those games fairly comfortably. Also against Arsenal when it became 4-3 I doubt that was a game we would have seen out last season. Even against Swansea we needed to see it out at least for a little while and did it again.
We look mentally stronger, whether that's down to the players or Klopp i'm not sure but something is working.
On way back from the game, seemed a soft pen.
Spurs were hardly in the game, Sturridge should have had a hattrick easily.
Just like against West Brom, when Spurs got a goal back I wasn't concerned about us conceding again. Although that young lad should have buried that chance late on, luckily he had the first touch of a kerb.
luckily he had the first touch of a kerb.

tbh, all this talk about conceding from set pieces is irrelevant at the moment. It seems everyone is saying ohh, its a big problem etc etc.
Well, not one team has gained more prem points than us and we have only been beaten once, which as i recall had NOTHING to do with set pieces!!
Our record this season at Anfield is damn near perfect, won all bar a draw with a 7 man defensive unit Utd as well.
Wish you'd hit a kerb yer terwat!

Totally agree. It's like we've realised we're not going to win every game by 3's & 4's so we manage the game better instead of recklessly bombing forward. We're still hitting teams on the break dead fast as well.
Good to see the same philosophy is being taught to the younger players as well,
I'm not bothered about letting 1 in a game to be honest.
Or game management has vastly improved this season.
Keepers are having virtually nothing to do.
The only one who hasn't got the memo is Moreno, who yet again was going bombing forward for glory in the last 10 and leaving gaping holes that Spurs very nearly exploited.
Defensively we have improved game by game. Our keepers have had little to do in all games especially in recent games. Almost every shot on target was a goal which highlights our goalkeeping problem especially with crosses and set pieces.
Squad is very good. We have made 11 changes since WBA game compared to 10 for Spurs. Still managed to outplay them and should have scored more. We have outplayed every team we played this season.
Overall, very happy and we should be fighting for trophies. Not what I expected but I think the new players Wjnaldum, Mane and Matip have made us better and they are key players along with Coutinho and Firmino whom with Lovren look the most improved players.
I think one of the biggest positives is that for the first time in forever we were able to put out a different 11 entirely that you'd still be perfectly ok seeing line up in the premier league.
Other than the very top sides, that side last night would fancy their chances against 15 of the teams in the league.
Squad depth has improved vastly.
