Is Perreira not a two match ban (2nd red this season), also Blackburn beat us 7-0, but worse than that was a 1-8 at home (still a premier league record to this day).
We have a decent record ar Reading, so with luck on our side and a favourable wind, we may sneak a draw (at best), as you can tell my faith in the mighty Reds is at something of a low., how ever, at least we haven't sacked the manager yet unlike a few ungrateful over aspiring teams.

Your spot on re Hilda. Hmmmm....Lica it is then...he can't be any worse than Dumitru can he?

I agree chile that Vaughan is vital. I think there's not a formation right now we could put out that is missing Vaughan that could get anything at this moment.

The man is a wall, a bloody good one!

I think with Vaughan we'll get a draw, 1-1.
Without Vaughan we're probably looking at 2-1/3-1 to reading

I think Monty was finally getting to see the value of Vaughan and was playing him more. At the same time, he knows Vaughan is held together with sticky tape but needed to take the risk to try and get some semblance of organisation into the team. Vaughan will seemingly pick up niggling little injuries on a regular basis so it is something he and the team have to accept.

It really all is down to the attitude of the players. If they find things difficult and a bit too much like hard work it could be a 3-4 goal spanking. If Monty can somehow spark a reaction from them, it could be a bit more of a close run thing.

Vaughan won't be available according to the conference today, same with Hobbs. I know people think PM is blundering by not putting the later in but he's really struggling with fitness it seems.

Hobbs is injured, probably from sitting on the bench last week.

That's disappointing about Vaughan and Hobbs. I don't think Mancienne is fully fit either?

Stojkovic
Lichaj Perquis Mills Traore
Lansbury Cohen Kasami
Lica Vellios Osborn

Henderson, Mancienne, Fox, Grant, Anel, Dumitru, Assombalonga

I can't see a win without Perreira and Vaughan. Would be happy with a hard fought point.

Grant in for Kasami for me.
Also Fox for Traore...had to make sure I was sitting down when I wrote that! Going off this season'a performances and also the fact Monty doesn't fancy Cohen at LB, Fox is the next best as it stands.

Reading are a very good side. Beat them and you'll have it made as far as surviving in the Championship is concerned.

5 at the back?

posted on 29/10/16

Curious formation that? Is Worrall going to play lb and Traore DM or LW?

posted on 29/10/16

Could be a 352, PM just forgot to put Britt in the starting 11?

posted on 29/10/16

Last time we played 5 at the back we lost 3-0 at Brighton.

Difficult to see how we could have a better starting eleven, given the injury list.

If all goes to plan (ha), Britt first sub, followed by Grant and Edser. Don't let Lam or Dummy on te pitch whatever happens. I'd sooner play with ten again.

We were better at Brighton than against Cardiff.

We are hoping for one of the Championship's regular freak results here

Good to see another youngster in Worall being given a chance

posted on 29/10/16

Let's hope he has a good game, he's highly regarded at the academy.

At least PM has no apprehensions about giving the kids a chance wher as previous managers did

We should stop obsessing about Hobbs, Mancienne, Vaughan etc and concentrate on the most reliable players and build a team around them. Lichaj, Mills, Lansbury, Vellios etc are reliable fitness wise so they should form the basis of the team. Dreaming of a team which includes Pinillos, Hobbs, Vaughan, Britt is fantasy football and will never happen.

It's a bit Sunday League basing team planning on who you think will be on the team coach rather than in the treatment room but I think that is how it has to be. If we start getting a few results then certain players will suddenly be declaring themselves fit again.

For some reason, there's a minutes something or other before kick off, apparently the king of Thailand is popular in Reading.
