One of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of being at. Whilst the champions league certainly doesnt take priority for me, it is a fantastic chance to make a comparison between us and other great teams, and what a brilliant impression we have made.
And we did it despite the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen in a European city game, the amount of cynical fouls they got away with was remarkable, not to mention the penalty
But who cares
Im surprised we got as many decisions as we did tonight against Barca!! They seem to always get the rub of the green....Very good at those niggly fouls though its like an art to them as nice as they play.
I'm fairly sure they did get the rub of the green! Most of the ground couldn't believe the stuff the ref was coming out with, not booking digne early on for stopping a Sterling counter attack got him off to a bad start
Then booking Sterling 10 mins later for getting fouled was particularly cheeky
Seriously though I couldn't give a monkeys, brilliant night
One of the best PL team performance in the CL. I feared the worst when they went 1 up but credit to city for blowing them away in 2nd half
You wouldn't be where you are without your sugar daddy bankrolling you.
Barca for all their success are not great travellers these days, so the result did not surprise me. They are good going forward, but their defence is awful. I don't see them as potential winners.

Last night match was fixed..... Knowing Theybare through, they didn't even try in the second half.
For them Sevilla game over the weekend is more important than this one.

I think we accept that Barca are not as big a scalp as some of the big fish like Vauxhall Astra. West Ham obviously have a glorious record in European football so you would be well placed to comment on how Barca played. Do you think they would be up to playing Astra?
Here you go, over a billion petrodollars spent in the last few years, now you are comparing yourself to West Ham. Well done.
How many points we took from City in the last season?

It's amazing what Danny Fiszman's money did for Arsenal!

How many points this season Maf? How is that relegation fight coming on? Could be trouble for West Ham if Sunderland get BFS back in.
I don't think I compared City to West Ham, City are in the CL and winning, West Ham cannot qualify for the EL so it wouldn't be a fair comparison would it? Would be as stupid as losing to a team named after a car 2 years on the trot.

Relegation fight?
After 10 games West Ham relegated (despite of not being in the bottom 3) and Man city are presented with PL medals
"Norris's most infamous contribution to Arsenal's history was his role in the club's promotion from the Second Division to the First in 1919. Arsenal were elected to the top flight in spite of only finishing fifth the previous season (1914–15, as competition had been suspended for most of World War I). This promotion came at the expense of other clubs, most notably Arsenal's arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur. It has been alleged that Norris bribed or in some way unduly influenced the voting members of the Football League, in particular the league chairman and owner of Liverpool, John McKenna"
Damn Arsenal, ruining football!

Maf, if you don't think West Ham are in a relegation fight I suggest you look at the table. If you think a relegation fight starts in May then good luck with that. Not sure I can find the bit where I said City will get any PL medals, perhaps you can point that out for me?

Who owns the London stadium?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not about ownership. It's about who pays for it and who pays for West Ham to use it.
What do West Ham pay to use that stadium?
What do they pay for Policing and Security?
What do they contribute towards running costs, e.g. Staffing, Utilities, Maintenance, Upgrades?
I would like a clearer picture of this situation, so I can better understand it.
Clarify it for me. Intelligently if you can!
