No Graeme Shinnie again, what a muppet

I don't think Shinnie's case is helped by the fact he play's centre mid for Aberdeen every week. If he was playing at left back he would potentially be in this squad. Centre mid is where Scotland's better players are.

Still a useful squad player for LB or CM, been very consistent

He's a good player aye but I would bet that is the reason. Although John McGinn is a CM and you could say he merits a call up more than him...

Has been for a while. You can tell the rest of the team is really weary of how poor they are as well.

I think we'd have got at least third in the last group with a good experienced centre half in the team.

The worrying thing is there are not really any other decent options and there are no good young centre backs coming through either.

Because our defence is chronic, and slower than a weekend in the cells it means the rest of the team/midfield have to sit deeper.

It invites pressure onto us and stops us getting up the other end.

It's utterly depressing knowing how crap they are.

I've gave up hoping that WGS will pick the better players.

Jack Hamilton deserves a place in the nets but doubtful he'd be selected ahead of Gordon never mind Marshall.

The two full back positions should be ok with Paterson and Wallace.

Centre back we have nothing

Midfield is about right with what is available.

Up front Martin and Fletcher no goal threat between them. Rhodes and McCormack cast aside

That surprised me. Given that the two best LBs we have are out I thought it be nailed on that Shinnie as well as Wallace would be in the squad.

Not really heard of this Kingsley guy, he is an EPL player to be fair although he has only made 4 appearances this season for an awful Swansea side.

Personally I'd rather have Shinnie and Wallace (who's improved a lot in the last few weeks) fighting it out for LB.

Murnetti

Agree with most of that. Not entirely sure about throwing in Hamilton. He's not even played a full season in the SPL yet, although is certainly promising. I don't really Marshall has done a lot wrong. His defence is woeful, no goalie will look sharp behind them.

Agree about the strikers. I don't know what anyone sees in Fletcher or Martin they are total donkeys. No skill or goal threat between them. McCormack has been banging them in down there for quite some time and can't get near the squad, it's mental. Rhodes I get to an extent, he is off the boil and is not the all round player McCormack is, although he is still surely more useful than Fletcher or Martin. Has Martin scored yet this season?
