Tottenham Since City

Jansen looks shocking mate so that's one reason. No beating around the bush here mate but he just dosen't look like he's going to score a goal. If we have a striker that dosen't seen capable of scoring and getting into scoring positions then it's no wonder we are struggling. Not to mention how god awful Eriksen and co have been. Eriksen ducks out of every challenge and Lamela playing like a lost boy. Sissoko looks absolute gash and the only good signing we have made has been wanyama. Dele Ali guilty of missing chance after chance. Missing our 2 best players in Kane and Toby. I think I have put out a good list of reasons but yes we have been total dogs**

Feel sorry for Janssen. No creativity behind him all we do is smash it towards his head hoping he can hold and make something happen with out actually getting close to him to help.

- Too many games in a short period

- Not enough match winners in the team

- Games fairly difficult (WBA usually stubborn, played Leicester when they came into form, Bournemouth who have improved)

- Missing Kane, and his replacement is flopping

- Players performing at a lower standard i.e. Dier, Eriksen, Lamela, Alli

Some or all of the above I imagine.

If we manage to beat Arsenal it will be our greatest ever victory under Poch given the circumstances. I mean we tend to turn up against big teams under him already but this will be different.

Thing for spurs fans is Kane was looking gash aswell before. Maybe he will just nick a goal here and there but he looked so poor in the euros and when he came back.

I think alli is settling more to his levels now though after the over hype that most english youngsters get.

has a great touch and odd flashes but not enough to control a game.

Your biggest miss at the moment is alder though who imo is the best cb in the league.

Janssen is not to blame and it is these simple spurs fans who are blaming him that does my nut in. At least he shows some effort! And if kane was in his position there would have been no diff because a) janssen is not getting any chances and b) our creativity is on -100

Team of bottlers.

Bottle every opportunity to go top
Bottle the champions league
Bottle playing at Wembley

No leaders in the side at all.

Arsenal is exactly what we need to get ourselves up for it and I would keep Eriksen in the team and also bring Lamela in.

That being said I can see us getting beat which could put us on a even more negative spiral.

I just don't get how from bossing City we can turn to garbage.

Kane is better all round though. The work he does without the ball is better than Janssen's, and he has actually scored a couple that were not pens. I'm not blaming Janssen as such, but he has 0 goals in 13 games (minus pens)? That is simply poor form for a striker.

Yes. You could see how they all went missing when under pressure at the Bridge and St James's Park last year.

They had no leaders so lost their composure.

not enough leaders yes, but why not. the team is littered with seasoned international pros.

Toby A is a leader and should definitely be captain imo

or victor w

Exactly mate. The moment you criticise Janssen, you are accused of being simple minded why should I or any spurs fan be happy with 0 goals from open play so far this season? For 20 million we should be expecting a lot better. I like Janssen a lot and I love his work rate but I expect and want to see more quality from him in terms of goals. He's a bloody striker ffs!!! Harry Kane would make service for himself and that's the difference.

don. the service that janssen has had from the attacking mid 3 since kane's injury has been nothing short of shocking

he feeds off crosses cut backs and stuff fired across the box..... and no one is willing to put in a decent ball apart from danny rose and kyle walker, and even then walkers delivery is pretty ropey.

posted on 3/11/16

Chronic, yes I agree but Kane always seems to be able to create chances for himself out of nothing. So why is Janssen struggling so much to actually look like scoring? The service has been poor yes but for 20 mil I expect a lot better from our striker mate

It was the break that did for us as they always do. We need to do a City, get a good win and away we will go.

I guess the answer will be revealed when Kane comes back. If we still see a lack of creativity and a lack of goals from either then we can put it down to a problem much deeper than Janssen being a bit rubbish.

Ask yourself why has Son looked shiet up top for us recently?

Our build up play is slow & ponderous.

We need Wenger to come out and say we are in a "negative spiral" before the game like AVB did. Then we beat them and go on a 10 match streak.
Well it worked for them

we needed Isco not Sissoko, when you see city signed Gundogan for 20 mill and we signed Gissoko for 30 and play him out of position really is laughable

Toby should be captain, Lloris isn't a leader and his kicking is sheit - playing from the back needs to be addressed

Dier isn't a CB

Janssen isn't getting any service

Kane is a leader figure as well as a great team player and goal out of nothing player - huge miss

Toby is our best player - huge miss

Dembele is injury prone

Eriksen has a poor attitude needs competition, Son looks bad leading the line, Lamela for what he is frustrating with his fouls and final ball at times can be missed.

The Dele Alli song is facking tedious and for god sake unless it's a nutmug competition he couldn't even lace Ozil's boots.

Oh and the Kyle Walker brain farts are back

sort it out Tottenham, no need to panic just yet but I'm sick of being a laughing stock of a club sometimes and we look like we could win fack all again this season

We're shart, let's face it, squads not up to it, a few injuries and we become so ordinary, our transfers have been poor also, typical Tottenham sadly.

I think it's because he's still upset Lamela didn't let him take the pen. That's when it started.

At the end of the day - Levy's fault

I think the biggest issue is our lack of creativity rather than our strikers because kane has been struggling this season as well. That is what is simple minded as people think kane coming back will solve al our problems when our main issue is our creativity and attacking play. Yes he hasnt been great but If janssen was playing in arsenals team do you really think he'd have 0 goals?

Possibly not. I also don't believe he'd be doing too well either. Look at the goals scored at Arsenal against Sunderland and to me Soldado doesn't look capable of scoring any of those right now.
