Well he was the chosen one tbf should have stuck with him, might be able to get him back soon if Sunderland continue to let him down
Shocking stats. Though to say we've gotten worse each season is untrue as we were better under Van Gaal than under Moyes.
True daz.
Goes to show how poor you're currently doing though. All the money spent since Fergie left and you guys are a lot worse.
Never thought Jose was right for you guys.
i posted an article a week or two back asking "what wrong with jose"...i got clobbered except from CFC fans who thought i was right, they sensed he changed 2nd time at CFC too.
Now it appears everyone else is coming to the same conclusions, Jose aint the same jose from hyrs back...alwats fkn miserable and his management has changed.
Yeah there are real problems. The team has been completely spineless since Fergie left.
Mourinho has definitely had a poor start, personally have no doubt they would be doing a lot better if they had Pep, Klopp, Simeone, Poch, Conte. They have a lot of talented players that are underperforming.
And yet were still the only thing anyone wants to discuss. Latest articles on Liverpool's n city's boards. Quite sad.
We have a long long way to go to even try to regain our throne. We know that. But we have a much better chance than you had in the 90's because we're filthy rich and our owners didn't desert us when we needed them. The fact it's taken 26 years to extend anfield just shows how badly run you've been.

Yes, why wouldn't we?
United who are the most successful British side domestically with the most successful manager of all time have been very poor for three years, bring in one of the biggest managerial names in world football, break the world record transfer fee and sign three other excellent players and are floundering in mid table.
I'd consider that to be something very much worth talking about.
Most successful manager was fergie, forgot to put that in. Should have been clearer
If i had 89 million quid i wanted to hide i'd put in man utd's midfield!

utd are keeping players way past their best:
Ibra
Carrick
Rooney
Sweinsteiger
Young
then add the slow players who cant do dynamism:
Mata
Schneiderlin
Felainni
thats too many problems when the top 4 are so dynamic.

Despite all the money we've spent the squad is still unbalanced. Doesn't excuse some of the performances we've seen, though.

Van gaal was a large culprit for that, very scattergun with his signings.
Jose should definitely be getting a lot more out of the current squad though. Throwing players under the bus in the media is a quick way to lose the dressing room though. Fergie would tear strips off players but he'd do it in the dressing room.
You would have thought Jose would have learnt after last season.
Yeah I'd agree with that.
Tbh I think Jose more or less got his summer signings right, I just think he was one more centre midfielder shy of getting it spot on.
Pogba is very isolated in midfield at the moment.
Pogba and Herrera are both good players but to get the best out of the former they need a third midfielder that can offer that balance.
Currently their best option is Carrick and he's really getting on now (possibly Schweinsteiger but would be surprised if he ever plays for them again). Schneiderlin seems to have forgotten how to play football and Fellaini has always been rubbish. Rooney has become nothing less than a laughing stock.
Going to have to open that chequebook again to build the team around Pogba if they want to get the best out of him.
I don't really like their 4-2-3-1 formation. It asks a lot of the target man and wingers and the players they use in to shield the defence aren't upto scratch. Looking at their advantages, you'd have to say the forward thinking players are the best players at the club. Go 4-3-3 and play to your strengths.
We've tried different combinations in midfield with mixed results, it hasn't always been 4231 so that cannot be blamed for the issues, and in particular Pogba struggling to have an impact in games.
I don't think we've quite figured out a system in which he can excel, but it's no excuse for some of the shiiiit he's served up when he has the ball at his feet.
I think Man Utd need to decide what they are.
If they want to be Real Madrid of the mid 00's then carry on spending and keep Jose and you will probably win some stuff along the way but won't get anywhere near a return on your money trophy wise. You will sell a lot of shirts though.
If you want to be Man Utd, the team of Busby Babes and Fergie Fledglings, then you need to go back to actually what LVG was starting to do last season (whether accident or design), and building from within, maximising the opportunities for your young players in a clear team framework not built on buying ready made stars, but making them. Rashford went from nobody to a star in 5 mins. That is what Man Utd do.
I've said Jose was past it for ages, before he even went back to Chelsea.
A relic, hasn't moved with the times, and Porto was the only club he made better for his tenure, either being divisive (Chelsea 2, RM) or stacking the club with aging players to try and achieve short term success (Chelsea, inter)
I can't see that he's actively trying to build anything at united, and he's being antagonistic towards elements of the playing staff already.
Klopp had a worse start than Rodgers, doesn't mean much.
Mourinho's penchant for defensive football was always going to jar with thê traditions of utd. I was sure his appointment was always going to be relatively short term before things broke down. However with Jose already castigating the players in the media, it could all unravel sooner than expected.
It's hilarious
Moyes easily had the toughest job out of the 3. High expectations, aging past it squad (that the genius of Fergie squeezed every last drop), hardly any money spent. Shadow of SAF hanging over.
The other two have had it much, much easier, soooooo much money spent, but still the shadow of the colossus is cast long.
