Dung, We do seem to have a premature exultation problem followed by bellenditious.
I noticed it at the community shield game thousands singing like mad outside. By the time but by the time the match started where in post coital cigarette mode. Followed by irritating so called fans going where were you when we where bang average, and why don't you sing or words to that effect. I looked at my son and realized why my dad stopped going to away games when i was his age and i know why to many toolboxes and lifes to short to waste a minute of his time with them.

Yes, I tend to find these idiots are shouting at the wrong people. They should be having a go at their own mates but they won't do that of course.
The formation first half was 3-4-3 apparently but not at any point did it look like it. So yes Ranieri could definitely be blamed for poor tactical choices.
I agree that Schlupp wasn't bad, he covered well first half often winning tackles and was one of our better players second half.
I also thought Schlupp did ok in a bad bunch, he was obviously restricted in the first half by the formation but looked almost one of the best players second half when allowed to go forward.
DM mentioned CRs tactics, didn't he try things last season first half of the season and matchs where we struggled first half then he resorted to 442 second half and looked a genius.
I do agree with him though, they are practising these formations in practice so they should know what position they should be in, we fans moan when we stick to 442 every match then have no patience and moan when we try something new!
As for the crowd, I thought the home fans were fantastic, just assumed they were drowning us out, maybe it wasn't the 'usual' away fans who could get there?

I am glad that bought the atmosphere up, pre game it was the usual loud, joyous singing etc around the airport, the bars and even on the way to the ground but it was as though some supporters thought they had done their bit pre game and then just settled down to watch the game. It was certainly noticeable in the ground that we were flat and quiet, not what I was expecting at all.
As for the formation change, I certainly didn't see it as a back 3 to begin with, and it didn't work at all, so a black mark against CR for that. But credit to him he noticed it early and changed back to a much more familiar formation.
As for Schlupp, I just don't see him doing anything positive or bringing anything to the squad at the moment. I would prefer to see Gray or the polish wonderkid given a run than Jeff now.
But hey despite all of this it was a clean sheet and another unbeaten game in the CL.
And glad you were lucky enough to stay the extra day, some of us had to be back at work Thursday!!!

This is how I saw the formation in the first half:
1 x GK
2 x CB
1 x LB
1 x LWB
1 x RB
2 x CM
1 x Free role
1 x God knows, possibly LF
1 x CF
Why on Earth Copenhagen didn't go down our right side more only they can answer, because Hernandez was left completely on his own for most of the first half. At least when Schlupp was moved to RM the team found some balance.
Incidentally, this is why I've never been keen on 3 at the back - it's very hard to practise both this and 4 at the back and be experts at both, while a back 4 gives you more options and tactics available in front of it.
Good man Dunge. Fuchs was class.
I was all up for going to Copenhagen and had my trip planned but then life got in the way. If only I had as much time on my hands as JG! Anyway, sounds like I shouldn't be as disappointed as I was.
As far as the formation and players go, I agree to some extent. The 3-4-3 formation deployed in the first 25 minutes (could anyone see that??) was a shambles. We looked clueless.
However, I don't accept that that suddenly made Mahrez be unable to make a 4 yard pass with nobody within 4 yards of him. Amartey to constantly let his man run passed him, or Musa just look like he's never seen a football before.
Copenhagen played a good game closing us down quickly and making us go backwards. But the players dealt with this terribly. Too many players played a very poor game. Mahrez, Musa and Amartey the biggest culprits.
Where Ranieri is at fault is that his formation and tactics this season are isolating Vardy up top. Until Okazaki comes on, Vardy looks like he'd rather be anywhere else and I don't blame him. We need to fix this first in my opinion.
Well done to Ranieri for trying something new, but let's not do that again!
On the support, the home support was very good but not exceptional to the point of it being too much for us - ours was just rubbish. I think a combination of a long day, a long walk and the alcohol wearing off made people tired. (Which is no excuse, frankly.)
Dunge - I agree but that game was the least inspiring I've seen since Rotherham on Boxing Day about 10 years ago!!!
Fans and players inspire each other. I'm surprised people even stayed awake watching that dross.
Albrighton in front of Simpson and Mahrez in front of Fuchs (works mainly defensively because Fuchs is so good and can cover often for Mahrez's lack of defensive know-how) with King able to drop across to cover as well for Mahrez when he drifts, for me, is the best set up currently.
I was pretty shocked at the support at Chelsea to be honest and it got me thinking as to who is actually getting these tickets nowadays. I realise the team were rubbish that day, but surely the fans should be getting behind the team on such away trips, not to mention being the Champions of England.
Completely agree dunge.
We commented on the support and noticed that the average age of city fans must be at least fifty. Maybe the youngsters couldn't afford it.
I was also a little surprised by the distinct lack of appreciation from the players after the game. A cursory nod and brief clap as they sauntered past on the way to the tunnel was scant acknowledgment of the time and expense we had all invested in traveling to the game.
Overall though I had a great trip. Spent two nights in Copenhagen, saw lots of the city (not only the bar's, although quite a few), met some great people and enjoyed seeing City abroad for the first time.
Oh, and I also though Schlupp was OK as mentioned on an earlier thread.
Concur on Sclupp.
Although not sure how much of it was the other players dropping down to Jeff's current level of performance rather than him raising his game 😄
I'm going to go against the grain here. I thought Schlupp was poor. Not as bad as some, but poor.
Yes he was clearly told not to attack in the first half (why I have no idea) but apart from the one run in the second half he looked devoid of ideas with the ball.
He needs to go back to what he does well - overlapping, driving forward and getting in to the box on the diagonals. He looks very short on confidence currently.
Yes he wasn't as bad as some on weds, but that doesn't make him good.
Gray must be doing some serious things wrong on the training pitch!
Completely agree Mersey
Schlupp has regressed instead of progressed, and we cannot afford to waste a squad space on a player like that.
January will see a parting of the ways I think, and that will be best for both parties.
There was a group of foxes fans front centre
bouncing up and down singing.
The rest just pathetic.
Also why were there at least 200 empty seats either side front?
Hard to believe Leicester City haven't conceded a goal in CL but getting beaten or outplayed so easily in PL. Even long unbeaten home PL run over.
Maybe Leicester City forcefield powers in PL last season allowed them as top seeds in CL to go all the way and win it
