Nasser is my favourite. Not afraid to tell the truth and know's his stuff.

I also like Athers for the same reasons and Bumble but in short bursts only.

I Chappell is always fun to listen to. That bloke does know his Cricket.

Athers does not know his stuff and is constantly pulled up by the others for getting things wrong.

I beg to differ.

Bumble and Michael Holding.

I was listening to MH a few years back, and he was talking about a Captain 'inviting' the opposition to follow on. He said if it was an invitation, what happens if the oppo Captain says 'No thank you, I don't care to.' Delivered with his Caribbean drawl, it was hilarious.

Bumble is just way out there, a legend.

Hussain for me. So knowledgable and loves to have banter.

David Lloyd! He's pure quality

Oh & because he talks about his dogs ashes which are situated on his fireplace next to his dad during an international T20!! You just can't write that kind of stuff..

I'm with Gingerfinch - Athers is the best and most insightful commentator, with Nasser a close second. The worst is Gower, who is the best sedative known to man.

Best laugh: Bumble - "buzzzeeerrrsss"

Best voice: Mikey.

Most annoying: Charles Colville

Those who say Atherton are totally correct, he's great in combination with Hussain, Bumble or Holding.
Lord Gower is dreadful followed closely by the monosyllabic, grunting Botham.
I miss the dry humour of Bob Willis.

I like Michael Holding and Boycott
Most annoying Nick Knight and Mark Butcher. why oh why do we have to listen to them.

I can understand your liking for Boycott, one know it all to another.
I can cope OK with Boycs most of the time but when he repeating how difficult it was playing on uncovered pitches, I could scream.

Did Boycott actually beat up his wife or was he cleared?

Oh yeah and the corridor outside ofstump.. As for how hard it was batting on uncovered pitches it can't have been that bad he got loads of runs. Anyhow i do like his commentating..

The thing i love about boycott, was during the ashes, at the MCG on the first morning, i remember listening to the commentry on tms. After 5 overs or so (where we had dropped a couple of catches) he basically said, we arent bowling well and we are going to struggle. By the end of he day we had bowled em out for 98 and had a lead of 50 odd with 10 wickets remaining lol :D

I like most of the cricketing commentators in stark contrast to the football pundits. Nasser is probably my least favourite but even his dull voice is preferable to idiots like Robbie Savage on the bbc!

best :

1. tufnell (for intellegence and insight)
2. vic marks (for god company)
3. boycott (for knowledge)

worst :

1. justin langer (for mumbling and general annoyance)
2. vaughan (for lewd comments)
3. martin jenkins (for continuallly shouting "he's out" when he's not out.
