He certainly got the best out of Holt. 15 goals in one season in the Premier League is no mean achievement.
Lambert signed Benteke and Vlaar for Villa for a total of £11m. Would be happy if we signed players of that quality. Vlaar is 31 and with AZ Alkmaar but might be just the job for 2 seasons as centre back and captain
Hopefully Wes Hoolahan for a start.

I like this, would he come here ?
None of those would come.
I mentioned Vlar during the postmortem on saturday, wonder if Lambo's still got his number.
Cant think of too many other proteges of his Id want tbh.
Lambert's ricketts. Sounds like a medical complaint.
Is anyone following the USA elections? Sad we can't continue with Obama. Seems like the choice is between 2 jokers. How do you choose when that's all you can vote on?
Would be like only having the choice of WITSS or Cinci on here.
Hobson's choice for sure, whether you are talking Trump or Clinton, or cinci or wolfie
It is astonishing that USA has two such people to choose from as president. Don't know who is more anxious about the consequences, the American people or the rest of the world
It is a pretty dire choice, no doubt about that but not sure why you are mentioning myself and Wolfie whilst comparing it
Only question is though, is it better to have a choice or should we adopt the British method now where we can have someone just take over despite not being elected by the people, which ironically is a step forward from the coalition government nobody voted for.
I see Butey has made it across the water and is back with us, albeit with his continual WUMMING.

What's Butey done now? Over stepped with his wumming?
shame it wasnt paul butler as assistant
then it would be lambert & butler
smokin
I was thinking of Butler yesterday. The kind of no nonsense centre back we need
We've not been right at the back since Breen finished. Breen and Butler would be a good combo for us now. Micky Gray too. Experience, there's no substitute.
I'll take all of these names and raise you a Craddock (towards the end of his career). Have we had a better leader in relatively recent times? Butler did after all feck off to leeds.
Give Jelle Van Damme another go.
Frustratingly Stearman could have been the 'next' Craddock for us and had just had a great season alongside Batth often being the real leader on the pitch but for reasons we will never ever understand we then sold him.
it was frustrating but if he is any good Lambert will see to it that he gets back in the team. One good thing about Lambert compared to Zenger is that he at least seems to have some degree of common sense. I would like to see the best players we have starting every game until their perfomance drops. When it drops, sub and replace with the 2nd best.
Sounds simple to me!
Have to say rotation was not something I would criticise Zenga for. Very easy to say play the best players but if you asked 20 Wolves fans what our best 11 is you would probably get at least 15 different answers. And as a new manager how do you conclude who your best players are if you don't play most of them
Thank goodness PL has recognized that he has too big a squad. Let's get back to 23/4 which is more manageable and clear out those who don't come up to scratch.

What sort of Wolves supporter are you? He was sold for footballing reasons. Keep up, man.
