Well its the umpires job to give the edge out
Then Kashy no need for DRS Right?
So a no ball wicket, edge that they don't review, dropped catch.
The only thing left now to make the perfect set is a missed stumping from the wicket keeper.

Kash - What these lot done to you? Your wumming far more than usual these days. Rise above it.
Smith steadies the ship, again. Still need 119 at almost 6 an over. A couple of wickets throws this game wide open.
Good result v direby A14 ALAW
Good knock from Handscomb. Rode his luck a bit, but learning with every ball. Been quite a find this season, should be around for a long time
Congrats Aussies in advance..
In the 1990s, Pak were the best team in the last 10 overs, now the worst
We still play the 80/90 brand of cricket though which is pointless.
Kash, I beleive if you played the type of cricket you played in the 90s, reverse swing, spinners turning it both ways, big hitters at the end and Saeed Anwar,Afridi and Inzy at the top, I think you would dominate ODI cricket.
You are currently playing England's brand of cricket in the 90s, which is a recipe for disaster
True JT in the 90s we had power all the way down but now we can't even find batsman who can even get the ball past the square. How does Shafiq and Rizwan keep getting picked?
You need some tonkers at 6 or 7. I can't remember last new player for Pakistan that has come in and tonked it in the final overs.
You have to remember Pakistan had one of the greatest opening bowling partnerships in world crick in Akram and Younis. Add a young Afridi and Inzy. They dont have that calibre of players at the moment, so very difficult to replicate their feats

Agreed Lefty,
My point is I've heard many people think Pakistan are stuck in a time warp and haven't moved on from the 90s. I actually disagree with that, I think they don't have those quality of players anymore and I think their attitude if anything has regressed, from being one of the most positive teams to one of the most negative teams.
The players you can't bring back, but the attitude you can.
Lefty,
U forgot Kackmal n Hafeez! They are Legends my frnd..
Attitude stems form the performance. Its difficult to adopt that positive mentality when the performances on the pitch do not warrent it.

Not sure how any team (Pakistan or anyone else) can produce that type of cricket - the ridiculous 2 ball rule negates spin and reverse swing.. add that to many boards creating flat tracks so it's in effect a slogfest... love T20, but it's influencing Odis negatively.
A14,
I agree with most of what you said, however I'm sure the 2 ball rule (which I hate by the way) was even used in the 1992 World Cup where there was amazing bowling.
There are all sorts of rules that are ruining cricket by making it a batting slogfest, but I feel many teams are simply giving up rather than believing they canbowl teams out.
Virtually every recent ODI captain (apart from maybe McCullum) sends everyone to the boundary. Bowlers don't bowl to their fields, captain's don't have enough confidence in their bowlers and set fields for bad balls etc. Starc still bowled wonderfully in the World Cup so that proves it can happen.
I think other than the factors you have mentioned, a bigger problem is the lack of world class bowlers and the fact that most Captains have a safety-first approach.
Another big issue I have is no one tries to create a good bowling ATTACK anymore, they pick one group of bowlers for tests, then another for ODIs and another for T20, then unbelievably change even in the same format.Even if for example West Indies were to play their best 4 bowlers consistently, I think they would have a decent attack but they change it virtually every game.
Ha ha JT, why not fact check instead of saying pretty sure.
