Not sure why anyone thinks Liverpool would let Sturridge leave for 28 mill.
Not going to happen.

Agree. Think it will be around half of that.

Frankly anyone who doesn't bid £14mil for him deserves to be sacked
At a time when Leicester bid £25m for Troy Deeney in the summer and were prepared to go to £30m and you think someone will get one of the best goal scorers in the league for £14m?
No, far too injury prone and I think he is well overrated.
Well, Neverton have £100mil Summer Millions... You never know 😂😂😂

Admittedly £14m is ridiculously low, but to suggest £28m is far too low is wrong in my opinion. He is without doubt one of England's best natural finishers, and more inventive than other strikers, but his massive injury history has to count against him. He's the same age as Andy Carroll, he's a different type of forward certainly but both score when they play and when on form are unplayable for defenders at times, but you wouldn't pay £28m for Carroll right now so not sure why you think Liverpool will expect that much for Sturridge. If offered £28m they will snatch the offering team's arm off I reckon.
In my opinion you just can't ignore the fact that he made his senior debut 10 years ago and yet has only made 173 appearances at club level, you don't pay £28m+ for 17.3 appearances in a season.
You get less for players when their current manager doesn't want them. £25m maximum in the current market.
His wages would drive the price down but I would be exceptionally surprised if he went for less than £25m. FSG drive a hard bargain.
We didn't want Benteke. Or Carroll. Or Ibe.
Who said klopp doesn't want him?
I think Klopp is quite happy with sturridge and his current role in the Liverpool set up. It's studge that maybe unhappy and may want out, because it's only the rags that have said he wants out.
Look at the players who have moved for £30m and more in the last window and if we can't get a good fee, I'd happily keep him!
I agree with Kolo. Sturridge is the first to come in if one of the front four is out.
On a serious note I'd imagine the price would be inflated if its a rival team bidding for him - as we've seen that the likes of West Ham and Palace are happy to bid 30mil for (at the time) untried strikers such as Batshuayi
Can't see him going anywhere. He will have a big role to play in January/February.
As if he would move to a city rival or that FSG would consider selling him to Everton.
It's pie in the sky, when Mane is away they will need him, dump him once he is back as it looks like he isn't a Klopp player.
He will possibly move away in the summer to his preferred destination......I will guess Arsenal and about £30m
Arsenal already have Wellbeck filling up the treatment room!! That said, he would be a Wenger style player. Still think £30m is too steep though.
I'd love to have him at Everton if he could play a full season without pulling up lame, when fit and confident he is a magnificent player. As mentioned though, FSG are unlikely to sell him across the park.

The sticking point would be.......that even IF FSG were willing to sell, Koeman was wanting him, would Studge budge?
I don't think they'd have a problem with selling to Everton but the wages would be a sticking point I reckon. He's on £150k

Not sure how that would be an issue, it's not as if we have a massive wage bill. It could mean increases for Barkley and Lukaku......
But the increased returns a transfer like this could make? Lets not forget that the club paid £5m to Southampton for Koeman and then pay him £6m a year
Breaking wage structures is always an issue I reckon.
When you don't have a team Of superstars then it's not a massive issue.
Just flog him to West Ham, they like to pay well over the odds for injury prone strikers
Koeman gets £6m and a potential top striker would be getting roughly £7.8m
If he gets EL or CL football via his contribution he hen it's worth the cost
