2 playoff finals and 6 playoff semi legs don't get a mention?
I know where you're coming from though, there's been long periods with nothing to look forward to.
Bristol Rovers and the play off games were excellent. Could end being a cracker Sunday, we're capable of getting the points
I know the team from the 70's, we've had good shouts at Europe and a few bits and bats since, but if you mean in the last 9/10 years, I'd say Grayson getting us there at Christmas but not getting backed!..
But backing has been a big problem for this club for a long long time, here's hoping that changes sooner rather than later!.
It's a sad indictment of where we are, when there appears to be a social media frenzy over what was once a fairly low key fixture.
Granted, I'm actually enjoying watching our team at the moment, but I'm constantly nervous about The C man doing something to upset the applecart.
But in the grand scheme of things and compared to the high profile games we have been involved in, in the past, this game is just another test of our progression under Monk. If we get the win, the momentum continues and we can expect another full house against Villa. My mates and I were discussing the gates at ER and agree that if we are up there challenging, the place will be rocking every match.
Probably the Chelsea match a few years ago simply because that was a packed house on an evening and against a bitter rival (a very good side they were too).
End of the day, if every game was sold out there would be games I'd look forward to before Newcastle, they're not a big rival or anything and won nothing of note for decades probably even centuries, just a well followed club in a city miles from any other and with very cheap tickets.
They are the best team in this division though and they bloody well should be the millions and millions spent on that team, it was shocking they went down with that team.
horrible feeling might end up regretting being excited about this one haha
I'm pretty gripped by this match, Newcastle are well overdue to drop two or three points .. won their last seven matches, I think? It'll be a really tough test for our lads, but we just might do it if we are at our best. A draw wouldn't be a terrible disappointment tbh.
think phillips and vieria gonna really struggle in there.
no okane or bridcutt isnt good news.
Arsenal away in FA Cup when Snoddy scored.
i normally get excited for opening home game of the season, then that excited tends to fade quickly at full time
