Winds me up that you lot get the same medal for sunbathing on the deck in the gulf that squaddies get for spending 6 months under direct enemy fire.

Tommo, I didn't take offence to the comment about medals. Not all deployments earn medals. But I have got an Accesion dew pond run medal.

Did you know that the RN accounted for 50% of boots on the ground in Afghanistan? That's not just Royal Marines, that's EOD teams, logisticians, Engineerss... your ignorance offends me.

My gulf.medal was earned by sitting 6 miles off the Iraq coast protecting the 2 major oil terminals that account for 90% of Iraqs GDP. 6 hours on 6 hours off for 36 days straight, 3 days break and then another 32 days of 6 on 6 off constantly being buzzed by Iranians as the RN fired the first shots into Iraq! Educate yourself about what it is we actually do before telling me I don't deserve my medals

I apologise for the fact that there will be no "For Those Who Did Not Attend" this week - good thing some might say - as I am in warmer climes a long way away. But I was there in spirit and a 3-0 win was fine enough for me even though Tom Ince missed a penalty.

But surely we SMc has turned us round at last. And now for a charge up the table. As for Forest, I know not their result but there is a distinct smell of relegation about the City Ground.
