Maybe they are waiting for when Guardiola leaves City in three years?

Strachan is Scotland's Pellegrini maybe?

They need someone younger who isn't afraid of telling it how it is and dropping players.

Rather a dull rant by Sutton, probably fed a few lines by the likes of Keith Jackson. Which is not to say that Strachan shouldn't go and the SFA aren't useless, but these are hardly original thoughts.

No. Not original. But accurate nonetheless

"It really doesn't matter who the Scotland manager is..."

No? Give me the job then. I'll do it for half Strachan's money.

It's clear what heppened yesterday.

WGS made it clear that it would cost the £800k to let him go now, but he has agreed to walk away for nothing of he loses the next two (which he will)

SFA, not wanting to pay the money would have thought that was a no brainer, especially as they would have been under pressure to appoint a new guy right away and pay him for the next 5 months for nothing.

WGS so desperately wants the England game at Hampden that he is willing to cut that deal (similar to a deal he cut with Middlesbrough).

Here you go son, your first Scotland cap.

Boo hiss...your mince...your gash...your oahrsvand the manager is an unfunny ginger twot...wur aw doomed!

Constant negativity and doing the players down is the only way we'll get better.

No BH, because it would cost us whatever we paid you on top of what we'd have to pay out for Strachan and his backroom team. That's the point, in context, in case you missed it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I can wait till Strachan's contract's up.

It really doesn't matter who the Scotland manager is...

With the CBs at their disposal right now, any manager would be doomed to lose games. You simply cant win many against decent opposition when the centre of your defence is as porous as ours.

The cost of changing manager in this context is just a waste of money.

Might as well give GS the chance to turn things around to the end of his contract - his chances are not great, but no one else would do much better.

To paraphrase Bill Clinton, it's the PLAYERS, stupid.

And, sadly, ours just ain't up to the mark, I'm afraid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Theres no excuse to keep puckin the same CBs that Strachan does. Always concede. Never droppped.

Absolutrly ridiculous. Others should be getting an opportunity to check their worth at that level. Its inexcusable to keep pickin Hanley and Martin. Tried. Tested. And failedm over and over

Esc is a sneaky bugger

I see what he is doing

Get Sutton in so he has another excuse to moan about Scotland

"Aye they gave the job to a Tim."

Sneaky sneaky

Being serious, I'm not too bothered, now that this decision has been taken. We'll see what happens in the next game. Maybe we'll beat Slovenia but, if we don't and with the next game v England, there may have to be a rethink....

Makes sense Mick.

Then they can halve their costs and give BH the job, unless someone else can do it even cheaper, that is...

Trying to undercut me....

Who would you pick as our CB paring then Esc?

Shiite as they are, I can't think of anyone clearly better.

BTW best of luck wi the interviews when they come up BH!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If we keep doing what we have always done we will keep getting the same results.

I would play a back 5, we clearly don't have the right players for a back 4.

My team would look something like this:

----------Gordon/Marshall (but not Gordon Marshall)--------

Robertson----Patterson----Martin----Mulgrew----Tierney

--------------------------Brown------------Morrison--------------------

-------------Burke---------------------------------------Snodgrass--------

----------------------------------Griffiths------------------------------

You can switch the full backs depending on who is better on the right. But let's play a system which gets our best players involved instead of shoehorning in dross.

Cheers. Anyone fancy being in my backroom team - for only a small cut of their salary?
