But that season with him in a coma was pretty crap tbf.

Yeah I remember it getting pretty far fetched towards the end actually now that I think about it

Still preferred it to most stuff on TV at the time though, in terms of easy watching comedies at least

Penny Dreadful wasn't cancelled. The writer wrote it with three seasons in mind and insisted that they didn't deviate from it. Top quality show though, with some fantastic individual performances from the 7 main cast members.

I personally disagree. Sometimes a series can lose something of itself if it tries to give closure to each character's story. I felt it left enough to the imagination, but led you to a pretty natural conclusion with each character.

But ther Dracula unveil and the links to her past were too rushed.

We never really understood why she had the powers she did

The whole Frankenstein monster thing was poorly done too

Then the issues with Dorian and Lily were not fully dealt with as well as the love between Penny and the American dude as well

After all the years of resisting dracula, she succumbed too quickly

It just felt too rushed to me

Agree with MUDD here. I was expecting a season 4 after how it was rushed and didn't realise that was it.

The Wire ended at exactly the right time 4za. It was a brilliant show but the ending was brilliant. To go on with it after that would have just been showing the next cycle of exactly the same thing imo.
Brilliant show though and still relevant today.

I'm a huge fan of The Leftovers. Gutted there's only going to be 1 more season (a total of 3).

If you have not seen that, I urge that you do.

Flash forward was cancelled, as I understand it, simply due to falling figures. The audience got smaller albeit there was an issue with schedule

Unfortunately its a numbers game
