But it wasn't a good time to play us, we've been on a great run
You honestly don't think it's harder to play Cardiff under warnock then it was 6 weeks ago
There a different side
LIW has merits to what he says, but he is over investing in th pessimism. You can only beat who isn't in front of you and we could easily have lost those games with this fledgling team.
We didn't.
We got beat by Newcastle, if we lost today against any other team then u can ask the question, but still we are a point off the playoffs and have looked good value for it. More so, who here would back us to lose our next 3 league games?
I wouldn't.
Same with Wolves, played them at a good time when they had a bad manager
Another club in disarray when we played them
Shouldn't have started Philips and Viera. It's one or the other for me. Philips is ok, Viera too raw.
Hernandez might have made a difference. Surprised hes dropped Sacko. Better than Roofe and Doukara for me.
Bridcutt back will be food for us.
Onwards and upwards lads
Ok LIW, u think our position is largely luck over form? If so u think we are going to get exposed?
Mike
No luck at all, we've played well lately and fully deserve the points we've got
But look at the five previous home games
Burton
Wigan
Barnsley
Ipswich
Blackburn
All dire toothless sides, with not much threat going forward.
Only once did we truly dominate any of them and most were won by the odd goal
I don't get how anyone can't see the past two months, we've had a friendly run of games.
Am not saying we'll get exposed
Am saying we're not good enough to dominate games and that will cost us too many points to get in play offs
That can be changed but needs to massive signings
Ok. So I guess that begs the question.
Should we be beating most sides in this division?
No trick question.
Newcastle played well and showed us they're a class off their own as far as this league goes, Norwich have played us twice,(league/cup!)and we beat them twice, by rights they should be as hard to beat as Newcastle, Maybe Norwich will beat us next time out and we could beat Newcastle at their's!..
Tactics and the form off both teams play a part and when a team gets its tactics wrong and has a bad day they are there for the taking!..
Burton, Wigan, Barnsley, Ipswich, Blackburn, all dire toothless sides you say, maybe one or two off them will have a better day against Newcastle!..
If we're talking about toothless, than Leeds United's are false, because if you look at our for and against, it doesn't look that encouraging!..
The cup game against Norwich, the commentator said there is no team in any off the leagues that has scored as many goals as Leeds United in the last 5/10 minutes off games, and what happened, late goals from Leeds to take it, oh, and 3 fine saves from our second keeper!..
And the next game, I think a Becchio no goal and a very late goal to win it!..
Late goals seem to be a specialty off this team!..

Sacko did nothing more than Duke or Roofe when he came on against a tiring defence.
Roofe played ok but Sacko is more of s handful.
Phillips and Viera likely wouldn't start if Hernandez and Bridcutt were fit.
I don't think we were totally outclassed at all and we're just a bit short on quality up front.
Antonsson needs to start more for me, he's livelier than Wiod.
Antonsson proved that he is livelier by doing absolutely nothing when he came on?
We dont have one player that would get in newcastles team.
its best just to get over this and stop moaning.
Overall Antonsson is a livelier player, always looking for the run. Like I've said before, him and Hernandez could prove a useful pairing.

lol yeah just drop our most important player.
Wood is lively when he gets supply, and we dont lump balls at him.
not his fault nobody behind him could string a pass together yesterday.
You could try Antonsson and Wood together, no need to drop Wood. They are different types of player who offer different options.
tried it before.
im trying to understand why after winning 3 in a row and 7 in 10.
that after a game against newcastle who are by far and away the best team in the league.
we now have to abandon a formation and team that have served us well.
utter nonsense. put this game behind you
Agree rich
Perth talking garbage
The team is fine as it is, we just had an off day and a couple of mistakes cost us. We missed Pablo and Sacko should've started but we don't need to tamper with formations.
It was disappointing but Newcastle will walk this league and I was expecting us to get beat.
All I asked was that we didn't get trounced enough to dent our confidence. That didn't happen so I fully expect us to beat Rotherham next Saturday and get back on track.
We played Doukara and Wood so what's the difference?
Douraka was playing more wide
Kalvin phillips shouldnt take a corner ever again also
rather surprised about this article.. understand you being dissapointed but to lose to Newcastle, top of the league after a decent run of games seems a bit soon to be so down beat.
Antonsson hat trick last night 👍
