be a good time for you to have a look at someone like Loris who will no doubt be looking at viable CL teams

Pains me to say but pool look very good at the moment

Just put your feet up and watch Spurs in the big boys league.

I think you are spot on there. I know t is sad but true. Yeah , I heard the likes of Delle Alley, Kane and Dembele will be in the bench for tonight's match. No ambition whatsoever. This mentality stems from the top all the way down to their fans. Beating the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal is the pinnacle of their achievement every season.

If Poch rests adn it goes wrong he's bringing aload of pressure on himself, it's fair to say that the night Rodgers rested players away to Madrid, to keep them fit for Chelsea (a game we lost or drew, lost I think Can scored but wasn't it 1-2 Chelsea?) was the beginning of the end for him, he lost allot of support from the fans that night.

Fair play to Leicester they may top the group if they draw or win tonight. They make the English PL proud.
This competition is a rare occasion for Spurs who I think should have made the most of it, not there just making numbers up

The "making up the numbers" argument is weak, it's basically saying everyone who doesn't win the CL is making up the numbers, think about it, reflect and conclude you sound stupid saying it

The bitterness

I wonder if that has something to do with Chelsea not being good enough for Europe

Stupid is as stupid does.

If you can read then you'll understand.

Making numbersure up in the same vein as Legion Warsaw. They are just happy to be in the CL, but Spurs like to think of themeselves of one of the elite clubs in Europe. You would expect them to progress further in this competiton, considering the group they are in.

Lay off the beers first thing in the morning you drunken mess.

What gets me is the sheer audacity to say this is our cup final when I have never for the life of me seen a team and set of fans celebrate a draw at HOME to Spurs. It was embarrassing

Hazard celebrated that goal like it was the winner in the world cup final ffs

The poitn goes sailing over your head skip, every team who enters has a chance

No we know that it is highly unlikely a smaller team will actually win it but they have a chance.

Example: I ask you last season can Leicester win the league, you say no chance they're "only making up the numbers" yet they go and win the title

Example 2: I ask you in 2005, can Liverpool win the CL, you say no chance they're only there to make up the numbers, we win the CL

Just logically think about the statement and admit it's stupid

You have no logic let alone selling one to others.

Listen you pleb.

Liverpool had won the competition 4 CL before that, so yes you would expect them.to do well in Europe you nancy.

Where you don't expect Leicester to progress for obvious reasons, but they have surprised people by progressing further in Europe cause no expected them to do well in Europe. But there are no excuses for Spurs who consider themeselves to be a top European club. The point I am trying to make ( as thick as you may be ) is that teams like Spurs should progress further in this competition.

as were you before you got all the crooked money from Russia
If you think about it Spurs "cup final" would be against Arsenal not you lot ....come to think about it that's YOUR cup final too.
Still, when some of you young lads' gonads drop you might even start posting some sensible football debate instead of the puerile drivel.

I agree they shoudl paly their strongest team, I just disagree they're onyl there to make up the numbers because it's a stupid cliche that gets tossed arounf as an insult by stupid people

Funny you ignore the Leicester example, and Liverpool had not won the European cup since 1984, no one expected the 05 side to get of the group let alone win the thing, you would 100% have throw the in it to make up the numbers comment at that side at the start fo the 05 season yet we went on to win it.

Dortmund, Porto etc, unexpected side who won it, it happens therefore every team has a chance.

Honestly it's so obvious just think about it.

posted on 22/11/16

Small teams will never win it, it's fixed so that the big boys get free passes into last 16. I'm not a spurs fan, but they'd be a joke club if they didn't go to Monaco to win. They couldn't even beat Leicester to the title last season, so they may as well give up on that front
