Poch is very much still enjoying his "honeymoon" at Spurs. The team has a lot of talent, but if, by this time next season, they still have not entered the Top Four zone, then he might be on thin ice?

Wasn't totally sure why the powers that be and a lot of supporters at Spurs thought that a good season at Southampton would be good enough for Tottenham. Spurs are a far higher profile team than saints and need a high profile coach to take them forward. But let's wait until the end of the season, see where we end up and then decide if we think he should stay or go.
If we do fail this season he will probably resign anyway.
Nobody is untouchable. That goes for Poch and the players.
"We need more quality to compete...." Poch has said:
NO FACKING SHIIIIIT SHERLOCK
Why didn't he come out with such statements during the summer when we were busy trying to sign shiiite players that nobody of note actually wanted.
Jesus, really? Won't disagree that our Champions League campaign was a massive disappointment and that we haven't really hit our stride in the league yet. But we're still fifth in the league, just four points off the top and one point off fourth. It's hardly time to hit the panic button.
We have to give a coach a proper opportunity to put together a project. We are competing with clubs with far greater financial resources and the only way we are ever going to better them is with strong long-term planning. I trust in what Poch is trying to achieve at this club and believe that the positives of his reign so far greatly outweigh the negatives.
Even if we don't finish in the top four this season, I'd want Poch to stay on for at least another year. We haven't finished in the top four in back-to-back seasons since the early 1980s. No reason why we should end a promising project just because he too is unable to deliver it.

Good post.
Managers aren't given the time they used to get, pressure will build and players will be cherry picked if you don't get top 4.
Beat chelsea and everythings rosy again but can see a draw myself. Lose and the wrist slitters will be out in numbers

Yes Hengy YES. Not finishing top 4 would be a failure.
Poch is a great manager. The signs of progress under him are there to see.
This CL campaign has been a disaster but we've had 2 of our best players missing (front and back) for much of it, and we lost our home advantage. I dare any team to do well in those circumstances. In fact Liverpool, Man United, Man City and Chelsea didn't even need those circumstances to fail to progress from their groups in recent years. Makes our campaign less embarrassing than those.
Tad bit harsh Aaron. Don't expect Poch to perform.miracles especially looking at the compedition this season. Levy either backs him financially or hope for the best with the squad Poch has at his disposal.

We are dealing with a young squad and a certain degree of inconsistency should be expected. As long as our players (and Poch to a degree) learn from the experience and come back stronger the following season, it would be okay.
I still think we will finish in the top four but the idea that it would be a failure to do so strikes me as unrealistic.
