Not sure I will be getting the new FF.... I might just wait a while and pick it up cheap. I have played most of them since FF7 but none of them came close to capturing the magic of 7 for me. Also not a fan of the real time combat they now have preferred the old school turn based. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed 8 and 10 i think but they were the only other two i really put time into. But even then for me they never came close to 7. I dunno if it was cos it was the first time i really appreciated a RPG and got sucked into gaming but iv replayed 7 about 4 times !! but never really stuck out any of the others. I will be buying the FF7 remake as much as I am dreading it !!!!
Bought FFXV yesterday using Amazon Now and it came within an hour...unfortunately I get home at about 10pm on weekdays and have to get up at 6am so I haven't had any time to play it, rendering the service pretty redundant for me!
Staying in this weekend to get in a solid few hours (is that really sad? Probably a bit sad!).
FFX is my favourite game of all time but I haven't loved an FF since then so I'm hoping this one recaptures the magic. Read the Kotaku review - really encouraging!
RedDeadRedemption2 is the big one for 2017

Any money that will slip into 2018
played through FF7 about 4 times and FFX about 3 times. the best two imo.

I wasn't really into FF when VII came out but everyone tells me it's the best by a country mile - do you reckon it's worth playing the PS1 version or waiting for the remake?

I played the original emulated version they brought on on the PS store about 2 years ago max and still enjoyed it.... for me it was total nostalgia however.. I am biased in my views tho cos the impact it had on me the first time... Its hard for me to give an accurate critique might be better asking one of the guys that didnt play it originally and played it more recently ?
I will add tho that it had one of the best stories (gets a little OTT towards to the end) of any RPG, defo had one of the best bad guys in game "Sephiroth" is a tremendous character, has one of the saddest that I dont wanna spoil if you have any intention of playing it.
For someone who never played 7 before, and then tried recently I really couldnt do it - but its often on sale on the ps4 for a few quid so worth a go imo

was strange for me bud I had never really bothered with RPG's much before FF7. Then that game blew my mind, its the 1 game i easily categorise as the greatest game I have ever played for the amount of love I had for it, the anticipation of getting home from school to play, it was the days before internet also so discussed every part that you had done with your friends the next day in school etc...it was a different time of gaming... I then played an import game from Squaresoft on the back of FF7, a game called Parasite Eve that was also excellent
I've asked before, but you not played IX? My favourite of the series. Similar in ways to FF VII, but generally a lot more upbeat.
Also Crisis Core for the PSP is a must for any FF VII fan. Adds a lot to the backstory of Cloud, Aerith & Zack.
FF7 is my favourite game of all time! You can't compare a game to current times I think so if you haven't played it you can't judge it on gameplay/graphics as these have evolved massively since 1997!
Rooney/Hernandez - have you done the Catcher Chocobo mission on FFX?? For my own sanity I've banned myself from trying anymore
na i never played 6, nor did i own a PSP, I did watch the film "advent children" which i thought was pretty cool (my mates thought it was guff tho!!)
sorry just realised you said 9 not 6 !! i played a little bit of it....think i just really wanted a FF game with the characters from 7 to be fair !!!
advent children was pretty fun I thought, 9 was good, 8 was good(but really tough and long) 7 and X were perfect for me.
Dishonored 2
Mass Effect Trilogy
Witcher 3 DLC
More Overwatch
I am currently addicted to Rainbow Six Siege, Nba 2k and madden so can't see myself getting around to any of them soon
