It'll be bad for the economy not sure what that'll mean for football

I understand the government plan to use EU nationals as leverage during negotiations.

Despite what the government say in public there was a commons vote back in July. Labour had forwarded a motion calling the government to guarantee the rights of EU nationals living in the UK. While the vote (non-binding) passed, the government abstained. Which gives an insight into their intentions.

Ironically if the UK were to lose EU nationals, (including footballers) the EU would replicate. So instead of the millions of pounds of tax contributions from EU nationals, we’d see in influx of ex-pats – largely pensioners…

Can’t see it happing however as it would be disastrous for the economy.

The UK has no leverage in the negotiations.

People with 2 kitchens will love Brexit, those of us unfortunate to have only one will find the next few years difficult.

Hopefully border control will start being more stringent and will spot the potential terrorists before they enter the country. The sensible thing to do would be to make them fill in a form to confirm whether they plan on committing any terrorist acts. Anyone who says that they are a terrorist should be refused entry to Great Britain.

If you don't have two kitchens you are a nobody. I suggest you go back to school and get some qualifications and then a job. You might be more happy. Lunchtime.

It'll be 5 years at least before anyone can realistically assess the impact of Brexit ... good and bad, and there will undoubtedly be elements of both. Anyone forecasting anything at the moment is indulging in pure guesswork.

Of course, in 5 years time the assessment of Brexit may very well be a moot point, as the "EU Project" may already be in terminal decline by then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Five years is somewhat optimist (IMO). I think it could be close to ten years, as leaving the EU alone will most likely take up to five years.

Forging new trading arrangements (assuming we leave the customs union) as a non-EU member will take much longer.

The Sensible Party was formed in March 2015.

We are in the process of preparing a list of policies.

Taking their bloody time
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cameron called for the referendum in Feb 2016.

Nearly ten months later the government still has yet to formulate an exit strategy, other than vacuous, and at times deceptive rhetoric.

I'm disturbed that there are too many not sensible people in this thread.

I personally run a highly successful business from my garage in a c*ap part of London.

I enjoy my two kitchens enormously. I also have a foreign wife, which I felt was very sensible. However, that's enough foreigners now.

I have been accused of being a hypocritical bigot. But those people aren't sensible, like me.
