This is the team I would play is:
Ikeme
Silvio
Batth
Stearman
Doherty
Price
Saiss
Costa
Dicko
Edwards
Bodvarsson
Lambo wil play:
Ikeme
Iorfa
Batth
Hause
Doherty
Coady
Price
Costa
Edwards
Dicko
Bodvarsson
My team would win 2-1, Lambo's will scrape a 1-1 draw. Dicko to score either way.
FFS lads, let's stuff 'em
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wulfrun, statistically your team would not win 2-1 because whenever Stearman has played we have conceded at least 2 goals.
Just out of interest this is how the various CB pairings have performed so far this season:
Pairing.............Played.......Conceded....Goals/game
Batth/Iorfa.............7....................9......................1.3
Batth/Hause.........9....................8.......................0.8
Iorfa/Hause..........2....................3.......................1.5
Batth/Stearman...2....................5.......................2.5
Stearman/Hause.1....................2.......................2.0
The table's a bit wobbly but you get the idea.
psst,
halfcuthalfpaste doesn't know but the game is on sky
Surely he must know. The only reason they put a game on a Thursday or Friday is so that Sky can televise it. Even a half wit would know that ...............................oh!
Interesting table dances, although its obviously from a small sample. Although Hause often looks far from secure the record isn't bad. Much prefer Iorfa as a full back personally. And Stearman's record doesn't look good.
I can understand people wanting Stearman back in the team based on his good run alongside Batth. But if the slating he got from Fulham fans is to be relied on, he hasn't played well for 18 months now. Maybe he will get another chance tonight or later in December but unless his game improves I think he will be sent back to Craven Cottage early in Jan
Read somewhere that we only conceded 8 goals in Saiss 7 games, no idea how accurate that is?
It is actually 9 goals in 8 games.
Only armchair fans would watch the game on Sky
Proper fans stare at the swirly patterns whilst listening to WM on freeview channel 722 which is not only hypnotic but the perfect way to enhance the psychedelic match thread
Well, it is a little bit more of a balanced side but missed a trick pairing Saiss with Price.
ike
iorfa, bath, stears, doc
edwards, saiss, coady
costa, dicko, cav
I'm not at all surprised with your stats Gem. I've said for a long time now that we concede more goals when Stearman is in the team. That's why I was glad when he left and was gobsmacked when he came back.
Thelwell's choice, which re-iteratres why I want him gone along with Rob Edwards.
My reference to Saville, is based on the fact that we have had to rely on a defensive midfielder this calendar year, for our top scorer, whether it's KJ or PL in charge.
We have to play with a more creative midfield, coupled with good wingers. Only then can we at least state that we are looking to win games rather than trying not to lose.
Maybe we can then climb the table, but if PL continues with his negative tactics, the more I feel we're more likely to go down.
Nouha up top on his own..

Saiss and Price would leave us too deep and one dimensional, Saiss/Price and Coady gives us more edge....Halfy gets it

They do whilst we include Edwards as well.
But if we played those two with a proper ten then we would have the best of both worlds.
But as i say, tonights line up is slightly better.
I like the trident up front

Halfy doesn't hold an Edwards agenda and as Tino said the front 3 should create chances, if on form....but here lies the problem ?!?
Is it 8pm KO ?

The fact it is a very definitive front three is the problem, we have the other seven that carry no attacking threat whatsoever.
I suspect we will see the front three struggle to get into the game as we have no midfield capable of linking midfield with attack and will likely resort to hopeful punts upfield.
Going for a draw but wouldn't be surprised if we snuck a win to paper over the cracks in the side.
Ikeme
Iorfa
Stearmna
batth
Doherty
Saiss
Edwards
Coady
Cavalereiro
Dicko
Costa
No Teixeira on the bench!!!!!!!!! Arguably the most talented player we have has just gone backwards since he arrived. Just not up for the fight, sadly he'll be gone in January.
Sorry cinci. You must have posted that as I was formulating my comments.

Don't think that is fair at all gem, he was withdrawn from one game for apparently not putting effort in, the full guy for a terrible set up from Edwards.
Clearly one of the few genuine match winners we have but that is lost on Wolves it seems.
