I was a big siggy fan and never understood why so many spurs fans didn't rate him

I quite liked him as an option off the left cutting in (exactly like that goal he scored at SB in the 2-2 a few years ago), and he was technically superb.

had no pace though, therefore the simple minded modern fan automatically didn't rate him

much like chadli, a very useful player to have around the squad, goal scoring midfielders are valuable.

Yea I liked siggy and was suprised he was sold literally just after poch joined but seeing it was all agreed poch can't be blamed for that.

We've had a few players like him who I was more than happy to have in the squad, and its a shame they ever left. Gylfi, Nacer, Clint etc.

Letting Chadli go was facking criminal.

I think it was a straight up fight between Eriksen and Siggy. Not sure who I would pick?

The problem was at the time Siggy was replacing VDV, that's a tough act to follow

I love the fact Siggy always shoots on sight, our team now just pass sideways every time a shot on goal is available

Very good player. The kind you want on the pitch when looking for a late goal. It's mad how so many modern day fans write a player off if they're not 8/10 every week.

Not much in it between him and Eriksen overall, apart from age. Still wish we had held on to him a while longer.

Decent player but i still think he suits a midtable sort of team like Swansea and is better as a big fish in a small pond. I don't think he cuts it at a team chasing top 4 and i certainly wouldn't have him in our 1st 11. That being said, Eriksen has been shocking so wouldn't be hard to replace him but i just don't think Siggy is good enough and there is a reason why he was sold.

Agreed. Spurs wrote off Siggy after a season and are now kicking themselves.
