Could get 83% of a Sissoko each season for that

posted on 6/12/16

yes rumours are its Nike for our kit deal and stadium rights. I reckon the actually figure will be more than 25m if Levy has anything to do with it.

Been rumours about this for ages. First heard it in March or so. As to how it compares with other teams, United's is £75m a year and Barca's is about £120m a year

That's why I think it will be more

Unfortunately, in terms of marketing appeal World wide, we are way behind United & Barca.

Once we have the new stadium & hopefully win some trophies, then our stock potential will rise exponentially

Barca and United have been huge clubs for as long as I've lived pretty much, only need to look at their trophy hauls over the last 25 years to see why they can command so much more than we do.

yeah, I never thought we were in the same bracket as those two but do you think our profile will rise significantly because of the nfl deal and all the worldwide exposure that could bring us?

More than double what they get right now. Not bad considering they never win anything and are barely known outside of the prem.

Yes two years ago it was the biggest but since then United, Chelsea and Arsenal have surpassed it.

When we come for renewal we will be looking to get what Chelsea will be getting which is £60m a year.

That might not be a good deal in the climate you negotiate with.

I'm just happy we are getting rid of UA

I would suggest the Nike deal has a few interesting clauses in it.............................................and if as I suspect there is a possibility they are one of the bidders for stadium naming rights, then sponsorship income will rise dramatically with NFL and other uses for the ground. The NFL pitch will be artificial, so we will be able to have concerts etc there too!

posted on 6/12/16

There are rumours of Qatari investment for NWHL naming rights also, but whoever has the winning bid will be paying out plenty, Levy knows what he is doing.

I also heard season tickets for the new `tunnel club` in the new stadium are for sale at £18K each!

posted on 6/12/16

Doesn't sound like a great deal but it is Spurs. They simply don't have the profile yet to justify mega money

It takes years of sustained success and qualifying for the CL occasionally doesn't cut it

The NFL tie up and increased exposure in the US will help grease some sponsorship wheels

Its not about not been relevant. It's more that you actually need to think about trying to win some trophies

Build some momentum, move into a new stadium and try to kick on

The profile of the club will then go up as will sponsorship deals

Spurs are second tier at the moment. It's not a bad thing but there is a lot of work to be done on and off the pitch to join the big boys

70 points last season, you need to improve by 15 points this season to be in with a chance of the title. Is that honestly likely?

posted on 7/12/16

Whether it is likely that we improve by 15 points this season is in itself irrelevant. In reality we just need to finish ahead of 19 other teams to win the PL.

However as unlikely as this might be, considering we have not really performed to our proper level yet this season, apart from a couple of games, to be lying in 5th and whilst 7 points behind Chelsea, it is not insurmountable.

Personally I think if we finish in the top 4 it will be a good achievement, anything better will be a bonus. Only 24 games to go and 72 points to play for

posted on 7/12/16

Finish in the top 4 and what?

Win a qualifier to get into the CL and go out in the group stage, what is the point? You become Arsenal which would be absurd. Watch them have a very similar season this time, just like the last 10 years

Extra money simply goes towards paying the likes of Sissoko silly wages. Too much is made of money, it just gets wasted

Spurs need to be actually trying to win the trophies they have the best chance in and build from there
