The highest bidder

Personally I'd like to see him move to Man United.

With the clubs mentioned I think it's fair to say a cool £4 million or more will be heading our way.

To think he only cost £2.4 million

Would love us to sign him.

How much did you boys sell him to Southampton for?

£12m

I think every club challenging for the title would take him - says a lot about how he's performed since appearing on the scene with Celtic.

I'd like to see him at Chelsea, but seeing it's Southampton, surely he's Liverpool bound.

Crikey. Think it's safe to say whoever wants to take him now will have to shell out at least 30 mil. Good player but I'd like united to try and work with what we've got right now then reassess in the summer.

Not sure Liverpool are interested. Could be media waffle.

£12 million with a 10% sell on clause I believe.

Think that i seen somewhere he has 25m buyout clause in his contract just now.

Guinny,

I don't think the buyout clause means too much given Suarez had one for £40m and went to Barcelona for £75m. Arsenal did chance their arm though.

Thinking about this logically I can't see it being a simple sell on clause of a percentage value of sale.

It's more likely to be the additional value that attracts the percentage.

So IF they sell him for say £30m, we'd get 10% of £18m so £1.8m.

Just my thoughts anyway.

It seems that Suarez's wasn't a buyout clause. It was a clause that if the bid was over £40m then Suarez and his agent had to be made aware of it. This is why Arsenal couldn't really kick off as Liverpool hadn't gone against the contract else I'm sure there would have been an inquest.

The clause for Suarez was any bid over 40Mil would have to be accepted, Liverpool chairman even confirmed this. Only reason why the transfer didnt happen is that the £1 extra truely peed off the Liverpool board.

Suarez could have taken them to court but didnt want to cause loads of trouble so the transfer never went ahead. I'm sure if Arsenal bidded £41-45Mil they would have accepted the bid.
