In what world is he the clubs number one striker? If ings was fit there's no guarantee he'd be third choice .

Do you even pay attention to Liverpool?

He's not the club's no.1 striker.

i think u will find he is, its just becasue he is injured so often he never plays now; hence he is rarely used.

I think u guys are confusing the fact that klopp doesnt play him so he is not the no1 striker, which on the face of it appears correct. However, if he was FIT he would be the no 1 striker.

We're not that desperate.

He's the best finisher at the club, but not the best striker. What we need in a striker goes way beyond what Daniel can provide, actually playing a match for example.

Those are not relevant to the fact he's not your no.1 striker as far as the present tense is concerned. It would be like me saying Wilshere or Ramsey is Arsenal's no.1 midfielder.
Sturridge has been injured a lot and when he's come in, he hasn't lit up the team. Has he even scored or assisted a league goal this season? He's clearly slipping behind and has some way to go to rebuild his fitness, confidence and form.

He's our best striker easily

Never fit though and Klopp has other plans regarding formation/system

If he's our best striker why was he sat on the bench for 10 odd games this year, while fit?

All of a sudden, he picks up an injury and people start hammering him again.

Klopp has other plans regarding formation/system. And maybe he doesn't like his personality or work rate or something.

Still our best striker though

Hernandez is coming in

I remember the days when some people use to say he was nit injury prone

In all fairness he hasn't he injured properly for over s year..

People seem to forget how injury prone Torres and gerrard were, but not much was read into that!

Klopp does fancy Sturridge. When he's fit - he plays. Started against United too

Where would he be the offloaded to?

I would assume the asking price wouldn't be cheap and his wagers are going to be a lot for anyone but the biggest of clubs.
