for once a spurs fan not thinking they are above a competititon ( which you are not )
winning things is infinatley better than finishing 4th
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Please provide me with links of where a Spurs fan has stated as such?
I think you'll find majority of Spurs fans want to win a trophy instead of finishing 4th you dry lunch.
Keep thinking that most Spurs fans here have only been fans for the past six months or so?
It seems last year's super achievements has blinkered certain fans from understanding the long term plan that the team is pursuing - team means players and management.
That's why the average age of the team is one of the youngest in the league. Don't look at Chelsea who pao obscene money to mercenaries who play today and gone tomorrow. Remember last year? those exact players were picking up huge amount of pay cheques and didn;t put in any effort
As part of the plan, it's also vital the players are getting rotated so as many as them can get match and game experience.
That's why Pocho rotates so much - of course, also because we are limited in depth in experience - being a young side.
I'd rather have a long term plan and be successful for years to come then have a bunch of mercenaries who have nothing to do with the club other than picking up gross amount of pay cheques!

The joke is none of these Chelsea clowns could be heard or seen last season, now they are out like a facking rash.
I see no reason why we can't go far in this competition and possibly win it.

Really?
Yes Zlatan. We got as much of a chance of winning it as you have. Beating us yesterday doesn't really mean much mate considering we were so poor.

Apart from the biggest reason that your manager doesn't take it that seriously/isn't good in Europe?

You've all changed your tune rather recently since your Champions League humiliation.
For years, you were all top 4 this and top 4 that, spiking this year

Yeah I doubt that, but I'm not sure what the relevance is to Pochettino being a failure in Europe.
I don't get this so called Wembley problem.
In case our players had not realised if you want to pick up domestic cup winners medals you have to actually play well and win at Wembley.
I don't see why it should be any different for the Europa.
In fact next season is going to be difficult in the league if we continue with this mind set and so we might as well go all out for the cups, because by the time of the finals we may well feel more at home at Wembley.
Rather win the Europa than come 4th
....
Actually winning the Europa league not only wins you a trophy but its equivalent to finishing 3rd or better in the league as you get CL group stage automatically for next season

Well, we'd have to beat ManU to do it.
Easier to get top 4 me thinks.
Shouldn't even be in question this
Europa = trophy & Cl qualification
Top 4 = CL qualification (possible play off game)
No contest imo

The issue is NOT what would be better, but rather what we can do.
Winning Europa requires us to beat ManU.
We can get top 4 without having to beat teams above us. Of course, we have to win rather than draw against teams below us!

1, that's not the question. It's rather win the Europa over top 4.
2, we would only play united if we get drawn together they might be knocked out before the final so again irrelevant to this article
Why not go for both? Why does Tottenham have this mentality that it is impossible to compete in two competitions at the same time? It is not, many teams do this every season.
Self belief mate. Liverpool may have not been a great side in 25+ years but the club and the fans have this arrogance that they can achieve the greatest of feats. Although most football fans mock them for this it's that belief which drove them to the 2005 champions league. The only way you can get to those hights is by winning trophies on a regular basis. We need to get some silverware so our club and fans can have that same belief as Liverpool and other big clubs. No dig intended.
