I think we should change the club badge. We need to have something on there to remember Nat. Either a lion, or a Latin phrase that would be symbolic. Everyone send Gartside a tweet! I just did.

Is the chairman the one who is actually in charge of the team badge?

I seem to remember quite a few years back Bolton having a much different badge that looked a lot better. It was a proper, traditional badge. Am I right or have I dreamt this up?

Just realised I'm not likely to get a response as at least 1 of you has filtered me (for nothing) possibly more.

SKA

Is there a reason you wander around the boards, throwing the odd line in?

Like discussing stuff on here, then creeping to Burnley (Of all clubs), calling some of us morons?!

It's a little "teenage insecurities" for me fella?

Proof Mallorca that there is an organised wumming campaign out there Mallorca.

They hijacked a B'burn thread:

Stretty, SKA & this Barry chap, if he steps one foot on our board, need nuking.

To get back to the original thread, I don't dislike the current badge. However, if someone comes up with a better one then I would go for it.

Does anyone think these two are the same posters? or just two idiots who have found each other on here?

Back to the club crest article.. From reading the other thread there were some nice touches when they created the badge with the elephant and Rose etc.

However if they had a lion rather than an elephant to commemorate the legend himself 'Sir' Nat Lofthouse who is Bolton Wanderers in a physical embodiment.

It would be wrong for the club not to make a gesture such as this.

New badge and a choice of designs to choose from, the same with the kits next year. More fan input would be appreciated im sure

When we became a founder member of the football league in 1888, our original badge was the town crest of Bolton.

Then the Red Rose, then the elephant & now BWFC.

The red rose thing would be seen as a protest because Bolton is no longer in Lancashire & I just dont get the elephant thing.

So we should just lose the ribbons and do something to enhance the BWFC logo imo.

A return to the old style crest and BWFC in tastefull block capitals just under it.

Ribbons? balls!

Cheers chaps, good debate. Nice to see it's gone to twitter and Phil Gartside via a DM!!

Good numbers on here, nice to debate football issues.

Definitely would be better if there were say 3 kits o choose from and the most popular was made, the fans would be more appreciative and would buy more I they had an input I'd imagine.

I do like that Premiership badge we wear.. Nice having it stitched on instead of Velcro like some clubs, after their brief stay..

Or we could have our post code on it, representing OUR town?

Or maybe the dates we beat our local rivals in the league.. Certainly be dates in the last 30 years..

Anyway, Man Utd tomorrow, in the Premiership. Loving it!

Mallorca, this will be pretty late but I have been busy. I've been wandering boards because of the distinct lack of news concerning Blackburn therefore little happening on our board.

I didn't "creep" to the Burnley board but outside of football, I don't have anything against them and they have had the most experience with Bolton fans.

Still not sure why I was filtered, though.

Super Keith

You ain't filtered.. Type away or speak to the mods.. I'm blocked from your board and the "other" Blackburn board at BB10...

Maybe you can't type on here ? Ask em.

posted on 9/9/11

If I filtered you, you wouldn't be able to type on here.

So I assume "morons" must refer to someone else.

Yes, don't worry - I like you.

I can't exactly ask why people filtered me, though. They can't see my posts.

yeah good point...

At least you have free movement.. Don't be too cheeky @BB10... You could be next..

No, I can never make it down to London games so I'm strictly a North west fan...

God knows... Brought a disagreement there with the chuckle brothers I think? It was a Burnley fan, but can't remember which of the 4 it was?
