Barkley how u gonna fund 2 deals on a snickers and 2 packs of monster munch ffs
Real shame how Barkley has gone backwards.
He started last season on fire and looked ready to kick on and become the player he was hyped to be.
You can't talk about potential with him anymore though. He's 23 now and it's time to deliver on a regular basis, but he just doesn't seem likely to do that.
I thought he looked like he was a potential Gerrard but at the moments he's not even a Leon Osman.
So you need to sell to buy?
Thought you lot were minted now.
Spent all the money on cladding so you can't see our shiney new main stand!
Barkley is one of those players who can look electric at his best but isn't a complete footballer, he'll always look better on a show-reel and be less effective over a season.
He's the kind of player when his name is getting mentioned 13 year old boys put in their dream team. Everton should cash in if they get a big offer.
Watched Barkley in 13/14 and really thought he had the potential then to be a quality player. Brave on the ball, decent pace and had a shot on him. I've heard and understood the case that Martinez didn't really coach defending but....
Barkley doesn't look any better now than he did then which is down to the player. Doesn't seem to understand the game better and make better choices. He's not a kid either so that excuse is gone.
Doubt there's any truth in it, probably just more made up nonsense, though I think it's pretty obvious that Koeman just doesn't seem to rate Ross highly - so maybe he does want to offload and get players who he thinks will play to his style.
As for needing to sell to buy, well after the news that Moshiri has cleared all debts and cleared other mess Kenwrong got us into, I think that may clear the way for transfer spendings...... Maybe not too much though as he is planning on delivering us a shiny new stadium, not a patch up job like some other club not too far away have done

I'm glad we stayed at Anfield in the end. Look at the difficulties clubs had when moving to a new stadium, Arsenal & West Ham.

Funny that, every Liverpool fan I know says that now but at the time were desperate for Stanley Park, just saving face I guess

After the Hicks and Gillete mess I can imagine a few of us were wary of promises of new stadiums. When FSG announced they'd sooner we re-developed Anfield I was happy with it. Yes with hindsight, after seeing Arsenal and West Ham struggle with moving, it confirmed what I thought back in 2012.
A year or two back Barkley looked like he could be the new Gazza, now it looks like he's the new Jack Rodwell.
The right manager might get his mojo back but I think his problems are in his head. He makes bad decisions

He played his best football under Martinez.
If Bobby had the backing Koeman is being promised then I think it would have been a team built around him. He needs to stay out of his own defensive third as his best work is done at the other end.

Don't moan.
You all started so well. Balanced and focused comments on Barkley press talk. Then boom, ruined.
I do believe it is all hype form Alli/Spurs and the interest in Morgan and Memphis.
Wouldn't want him. Alli is already ahead and is 3 years younger.
Instead of giving up on him and selling him where he could flourish elsewhere, would it be worth sending him out on loan to one of the promotion chasing Championship sides? Worked superbly for our Coleman at Blackpool!

It's all press talk.
Alli linked to clubs in England and Europe.
Barkley having 2 1/2 years left on his deal, Everton looking at Memphis and Morgan.
Is Alli that far ahead of Barkley? He does play in a much better side filled with quality that helps him shine.
I hope Neverton screw Spurs for by selling this
Unwanted broccoli.
