Can you understand why Godin and particularly Griezmann are important to my side now.

Important, but not irreplaceable in any formation. The top 1 is definitely the best for me.,

Think I've put them in order of how I'd like them there as well personally.

The bottom one just seems clumsy.

No chance at all. 2 ball winners in midfield well capable of passing the ball, the wing backs are probably just as good there as at full back, CB's comfortable in that formation for most parts and Falcao a good player to have to hold the ball up, finish well and bully defenders.

That's good, but it's like having a Ferrari or 3 Golfs. What happens when the Ferrari breaks down? That's it, stuffed. What happens if one of the Golf's breaks down? You've got 2 more to use.

I've got good enough finishers up front and my attacking side has goals in it.

That's not a good analogy when you can trade in your Ferrari for another Ferrari, or maybe a Lamborghini if you have to.

But its broke. Imagine what the difference in cost would be. What do you think would cost (significantly) more, a broken down Ferrari or a new one?
