Nigel Martyn. Used to blast the ball at the wall and then save the rebound
yep we used to do that skb..., great fun !
Certainly was
Now I just pretend to be Pontus!
Was always Wee Billy for me, even when I was old enough to know better, mixed in with a bit of Lorimer cos we have the same initials, Great Days
First contribution to this board, though I've been reading for a while. I always wanted to be Alan Peacock but never reached the heights, and would be exiled on the left wing, out of harm's way, in school games. But my in-swinging corners were legendary.
Welcome to the board emKriti

Welcome to the board emKriti
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers, good to be amongst friends.
Tony Currie. And David Harvey as he lived in Wetwang a few miles down the road. His house had two cartwheels as gates. Always drove past them on way to ER as a nipper.
Wetwang... sounds more like the result of a good night out than a place name. Harvey lived in horsforth for a while, I remember... with his rabbit collection.
Mick jones and then duncan mckenzie for me. What 8 year old wasn't seduced by tales of him jumping over minis and throwing golf balls across pitches. Who cared if he could kick a football.
Peter Lorimer, I played right wing as a kid, Tony Currie, I had long blonde hair like him. Totally froze when I met him at ER on a practice day in 1977 - I was only 14!
Alan Shearer.
I didn't have Sky when I was a kid so I watched a lot more international matches than club ones, and being a kid in the 90s meant I had a lot of top England players to model myself on.
**** off emKriti........
only joking, welcome to the board!
I was probably Wallce or Yeboah
Turn back now before all is Lost Emkriti!
Anyway welcome.
"Cheers, good to be amongst friends."
Emkriti, as you see, the welcoming committee is always friendly, are you sure you've been reading for a while?..
Welcome but be careful, opinion's around here can be very dangerous!.
--------------------------
Duncan Mckenzie, you know he nearly didn't play that game, he clipped the Mini with his back end and seemed to be in a lot off pain!..
My favorite, well, 3, Lorimer, Currie, and Yeboah, I always played Lorimer because back in my day I had a pretty mean shot!..
If only I new how to control it well who know's?.
Germany was that '90 miles an hour' or 19?
Well the age we were you could say 19mph, but we used to sing 90mph!.

You and Bradley Johnson!
I liked Brads when he was with us!.
