I believe City could find themselves out of the top four tomorrow.

posted on 31/12/16

Yeah City will be 5th as I see spurs and arsenal both winning.

How much have U spent ?
And top 4 is your target

Monumental failure for everyone involved in United season already

^Berk.
You adjust your targets throughout the campaign. I see nothing wrong with aiming for top four at this juncture. What with how the other teams have 'surprised' us so far...

I seem to remember you saying we would be top 4 by New Years day RDD. Just saying.

This is gonna be a slog. The only time we are gaining points is when other top 6 teams play each other. We're on a great run but I don't think it's an exaggeration to say we need to win our next 10 to reach the top 4. Just my opinion. But it's what happens when you have 6 good teams and 14 considerably worse teams

posted on 1/1/17

Well, we are a lot closer now than we were 4 weeks ago when some were conceding 4th. Ridiculous. Just saying.

True that RDD. Europa is still our most likely route though imo

There are two ways of looking at this. Yes, we have clawed our way back, but the fact that we have won five straight games and still not moved even into fifth, let alone fourth, shows you how hard it's going to be. And that's with the likes of City and Arsenal having some poor games.

We have to rely on two teams having a dip while maintaining our own form. Not to start 2017 on a depressing note, but for that reason I still think we'll miss out.

However, I am backing us to win the Europa League so I think it'll be a positive second half of the season overall.

Clockwork, ignore the place in the table and rather look at the points we've gained on the others

After the Everton game we were in 6th and 9 points behind top 4. Now we're 6th and 3 points behind 4th

There is progress and it does look more likely we'll make top 4 at this rate

Instead of whom, though? Even if City are fifth tonight (they probably will be), I think they'll make it. On paper I'd have thought Liverpool were weaker than their position suggests but they don't look like letting up. Basically, I think we'll have to finish above both Spurs AND Arsenal and that's going to be very tough.

Like I say, though, I think we have an outstanding chance in the Europa League.

City are the most fallible of those above us imo. Pep is too obsessed with how football should be played to adapt to how it is being played. That was predictably pathetic yesterday. That's only one team of five above us though and I think it's a big ask

posted on 1/1/17

I hope the 2 teams above us drop points today. A couple of draws today will do good for me in predictor and tighten the 4th to 6th gap as well.

Our GD needs to be positively addressed.

Teams above us keep winning and keep outscoring us.

Looks like Spurs won so its up to Arsenal now to keep the pressure on.

And we can't keep making these girly articles every time we win, it is schoolgirl stuff. Especially as our rivals clearly didn't get the memo.

Why not indite these emo articles (with emojis) after we are actually in the top four with clear water between us and our rivals.
