Albion vs Derby

My perdition is that we'll lose narrowly having made 7 changes to our starting line up from our victory against Hull.

I think the only thing we can be sure of is that there will be a few changes to the line ups.

Anything but a draw.

Both teams should play their full strength XIs.

Think you may have slightly missed the irony in Zigger's comment, Pulisaurus

Not a great start to his big match day thread, making such a fool of himself. Ah well.

Poor mans Wolves.

Oh yeah, a poor man's Wo1ve5. Wo1ve5, the only club in English league history to fall from the top division to the third division in successive seasons twice.
We now await the Derby match thread comprising 700 posts lamenting (or expecting) another defeat.
Poor man's Nottingham Forest, who afforded Brian Clough the time and space to achieve such great things.
And let's not forget, Derby hold a unique league and FA Cup double: lowest ever points total in the top division (no one needs reminding), and biggest losing scoreline in an FA Cup final, 6-0 against winners Bury.

We console ourselves with the entertainment such feats brought to the masses, aries. Also, think how crap the teams must have been that didn't get to meet the mighty Bury in that final, and how crap the team must have been that Derby polished off at Wembley in order to reach the Promised Land in that magnificent season in question. Worse than the worst team.

Bury won the FA Cup twice, Vidal, so it was no fluke.
And that you finished the worst team in the Premier League that season didn't make us worse than you. You've tried arguing that on your boards before and it's a complete non sequitur. It's a bit like saying Derby were worse than QPR two seasons ago. But you found out what it was like to be mugged that day, and QPR were found out come the next August, just as you were.

Derby can only dream of equalling our achievement s in the Premier League.

How many points was it that Derby mustered in an entire Premiership season?

This is soooo easy!

posted on 6/1/17

Funnily enough, Pulisaurus, such a thing has already happened. Derby's highest finish in the Premiership is the same as that of West Brom, 8th. West Brom have yet to achieve Derby's highest points total of 55 but maybe it will happen this season.

Have you discovered what perdition means yet by the way? I have heard that it describes watching a Tony Pulis team play football.

Is the word 'perdition' a long one by Derby standards? You throw it around like it's really exotic!

We've certainly never matched your lowest points total!

You have matched it, Pulisaurus. You've even exceeded it. I hope this helps.

Perdition is indeed a simple word, hence my surprise that you don't actually know what it means.

This isn't really going too well for you, is it? Oh dear. Good luck in the match tomorrow though - I expect you will win. I have no beef with West Brom, they're a decent enough club and doing well.

Where did I say I didn't know what 'perdition' means? Have I missed something because you seem to be talking nonsense?!
