THE STRUCTURE sorry...may well go up in no time...it's the internals/guts of the place that will take the time.

Interesting and in all honesty, I hope there is some merit in this.

The sooner we get into the new stadium the better as far as I am concerned.

A mild winter would be ideal, and paying bonuses to the contractors is a good thing too

Would love this to be true but highly doubt it.

I know someone who is high up in one of the companies building the stadium.

He tells me everyone told Levy it was a 2 year build but Levy pushed everyone to agree to 1 months, all the companies are now looking at each other saying no way can it be ready in that time.

One of the problems is that Levy has sourced all his own contractors and gone for the cheapest option everytime and a few of them are not firms the main contractors would normally touch with a barge pole.

He also says Levy is the nastiest most horrible (he actually used a lot of swear word that I cant type here) person he has ever had the misfortune to sit round a meeting table with (and he come from a family of Tottenham supporters)

He has also said he has some good idea, he want people to download an app so they can order food and drink to be brought to there seats.

Also not sure if he is building a whole complex but after the game the app will tell you if there are any tables available at the restuarants/bars so you can book and stop people spending their money elsewhere, which sounds a good idea.

An App would require enough 3G or 4G bandwidth (or wi-fi) to operate with 61,000 people trying to log-on. I can't even send a text between 2pm and 6pm within a mile of WHL on match day.

Hope it's true, doubt it is. Don't wanna play at Wembley, every facker will treat their match with us like a cup final, and even if we don't go there Milton Keynes is a shiiit hole full of cuuunts so don't wanna go there either. Levy needs to crack the whip on these bone idle navvies, all stood round drinking tea and scratching their bollox, they're all ten a penny, just threaten to have them kicked off the job and replaced if they don't meet very tight deadlines.

In fairness if all 61,000 are ordering food at the same time it may take some time to get your order

I think the app is more a wish than a definite, lets face it how many times have you thought about getting something at half time to think I cant be bothered to queue up that long as possible miss the start of the 2nd half.

I assume it would not include beer as you cant take it to your seats.

Was unaware there was potential for this.

Hopefully it can be done because nobody wants to use Wembley as a home stadium.

This is such a non story. It is impossible to play football there by Aug, if it was it would be half complete so almost impossible to build the rest during the season....entire roof needs construction and it would not be possible to inthis while games being held there.

As for all the "my mates best friends dog told me we can't complete it for 2018....". is also bullshiiit.

And however said Levy is appointing sub contractors and doing everything on the cheap needs to examine some facts, it's total BS.

I wish it were true, but I can't see it happening.

What an absolute load of BS from a Chelsea fan!

There is no way that Daniel Levy would outsource any construction work once a major contractor (McAlpines) had been awarded the contract.

Any external contractors would have been sub-contracted by McAlpine's own contract department.

The contractor is responsible to the architect for following the plans as outlined.

The Spurs Board would have input at meetings regarding progress etc, but not in terms of workforce or similar activities.

The contractor has to maintain the timelines agreed for the project and often penalties are imposed for missing these deadlines.
There will also be some form of incentive program for completion on or ahead of schedule.

There is always 2-3 completion schedules: These would include Health & Safety sign off, the stadium has also to pass a fit for purpose examination and then of course all faults and fixes (snags) need to be done by the opening date agreed!
