Kenyon was decent compared to Cook.

Kenyon would fit in well at city with all those other money grabbing punts!

"Even more shocking that it came from a doctor (is she a medical doctor?)"

I don't think so.

"money grabbing punts!" if that had started with a 'c' i would have thought right away you were talking about the Glazers

Such a shame, there is no way they'll have someone quite as entertaining as Cook working there next....

...don't bank on it 7_The_Best!

I don't deny what the Glazers are, are you suggseting nobody at City is a money grabbing punt?

Ripley's Cat I would like to believe its possible, but surely the ability to make a fool out of yourself will be one of the top prioritys for the new guy ?

7_The_Best, it keeps us grounded. It just wouldn't be City without the comedy moments and occassional shooting ourselves in the foot.

(Not wishing to imply Cook's involvement in the Onouha incident can be classed as comedic. On the contrary, that was anything but.)

Seen as your taking it so well... I don't think what he did was that bad... why the woman wrote ravaged with cancer in an e-mail to him is beyond me... I would probably think something similar... his mistake really was sending it to her, outside of that in this situation he didn't do much wrong...

His other mistakes are slip ups and getting a bit cocky, stuff plenty of people are guilty off...

What kind of son is Nedum? How could any loving son want a mum ravaged with cancer acting on his behalf.

I'd say there's definitely an over-reaction. Symptomatic of the times I suppose. And I have to say, I question Dr Onouha's comment that the day she received (and read) the email was a day that was worse for her than the day she was told she had cancer. That does sound pretty disingenuous to me.

But having said all of that, she shouldn't have been subjected to that email, even though I do get the impression that it was sent, not as a slight on her condition, but rather a side-swipe that her comment "ravaged with cancer" could be construed as a form of emotional (for want of a better word) blackmail. A kind of plea on her behalf - akin to saying "make these negotiations with my son easy (i.e. give us what we want), because of the condition that I find myself in".

Hope that doesn't sound too harsh, but all said and done, if she was able to carry on in a professional capacity (which she said she was), then to all intents and purposes she should have refrained from bringing any personal circumstances to the table to begin with.

But still, that doesn't justify the comments contained within the email. Nor does it justify the manner in which Cook responded to it all. And for that (latter) reason especially, he had to go.

Now you are a bigger club your more in the press and media and anything which can be overblown will be. Being big makes the press target you, the press love negative stories so anything that can be blown up will be...

The only club I feel avoid this to an extent is Liverpool though they still get bad press...
