Great decision bty LFC. Steven has a lot to offer in experience and mentoring the academy lads. Hope he is happy in the role YNWA
Be interesting to see how he does.
Do you think he has good management potential ?
Probably would've been better at mk dons if he were serious about a managerial career - returning to old club is always a comfort zone. Maybe it's to do with money as well.
Lot of retiring ex pros who made fortunes don't seem to want to muck it out at the bottom, but if glitzy Valencia come calling they're game on etc
How much do you think he will earn?
Don't know, don't care.
I just hope he has the cojones & the acumen to do a fine job.
Brilliant move for him. Better to get experience and work up rather than dive right in. If you get experience from a disaster it can end you. Look at Gary Neville as an example. Further more the kids get Gerrard as a mentor. That's got to be huge for motivation.
There simply cannot be a better role model to young Liverpool academy players than Steven Gerrard. Great news.
